    Round 2 team 2026

this isn't reflective of my opinion, it's what I think Benji's going to run with.

    Mavrik Geyer

got a niggle. it's why he was omitted from the All Stars and didn't feature last week.

    Round 2 team 2026

very true. would anticipate they'll get flogged for a couple more weeks with scrimmages at the end of each week before they take the foot off the gas next weekend and move into the week to week schedule. really curious to see how fit they're looking come 3:05pm Saturday 14 March.

    I think Benji will likely run with... 1. Bula 2. Makasini 3. May 4. To'a 5. Turuva 6. Luai 7. Doueihi 8. Afoa 9. Koroisau 10. May 11. Sa. Fainu 12. Pearce-Paul 13. Twal 14. Murray 15. Pole 16. Hunt 17. Seyfarth 18. Skelton / L. Laulili'i 19. Madden

it's just nice to have options. if we're winning games with him at 7 I'm happy.

based on history I spose. three straight spoons and 13th last year. 15 years since finals. they aren't exactly a surefire bet from that perspective, despite what we all think. the club needs to use that perception to its advantage though. become the hunters.

oh immediately I think you might be right, for 2027 I don't think they'll have much luck. they're in desperate need of a centre. Halasima's a backrower, Berry's injury prone and Pompey and Leiataua can't tackle.

realistically they aren't going to get what they want. they've allowed Barnett to leave, they'll be expected to honour it for his family's sake. they're talking tough at the moment but this isn't like the Lomax situation or even Addo-Carr when we were trying to get him from Melbourne.

he was definitely better last week than he was the one before against the Chooks. hopefully it's more about getting used to the speed of the game again as opposed to it passing him by. we're going to need him at some point so cross everything that it's the former.

    OFFICIAL SG Ball Cup

    agree mate. supreme pedigree.

    OFFICIAL SG Ball Cup

yeah I think Siotame's more of a 6 than he is a 9. he could develop in both positions as a utility of sorts but he's far and away a better lock than he is any of those options, including as a utility. I'd be grooming Lanyon for that 9 / 13 hybrid role for mine.

    OFFICIAL SG Ball Cup

we might know more around 5pm when these SG Ball teamlists come out mate, but from my perspective I think it was to do with Lakeman wanting to get his best pack on the field and assigning positions later. for mine Taai is a middle, not a backrower, and therefore you had to get him into that...

What is a successful 2026 for the Tiger's

assuming we join the cluster of teams anywhere between 7th-12th, a successful year would be sitting at the top of that pile. if we're serious we should be 4-1 by the time we play Brisbane at Campbelltown.

as long as Herbert's jersey 30 next year and we have someone above him on the depth chart, I'm all for it. Wilson De Courcey would be nice.

I was unsure about this initially when you mentioned it, but I do agree now after seeing him properly in an open grade. he needs to work on his acceleration off the mark for sure.

    Round 2 team 2026

I don't think he was far off being there last year. you look at the way we played against the Raiders and the Gold Coast when he was on the field and we were lethal. there's a lot to like about Latu at 7. I'd say he's more likely to be wearing the 7 at the end of the year than Doueihi or Madden.

    Round 2 team 2026

as you say he's a phenomenal ball runner, which is why I think he's so well suited to playing 7 in this system Marshall's devised. his acceleration and strength instantly puts a defender in two minds. you couple that with how square and direct he plays, plus the ability to tell lies with his...

    Round 2 team 2026

I don't think so personally. this system is made for Latu. he just needs a consistent run without injury. if you listen to Jarome and even Benji pregame last week it seems to be that they're planning to move Latu into the 7 once they feel he's ready. I like Jock and he was excellent on...

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I don't think the fullback position is the embarrassment of riches it once was. Turbo and Gutho are past it, Ponga's coming off a lisfranc, Edwards isn't getting any younger, Drinkwater can't catch a cold, Papenhuyzen's gone and Latrell's been moved to centre. Walsh is the best in the league...
