    Brooks and Marsters redemption

I’m a Brooks fan. His defence has improved out of sight and he’s consistently a threat to actually win the contact against bigger second rowers. I like his running game but geez I wish he had a step that actually let him change directions at speed, rather than a stop and let the defence adjust...

    3, 2, 1

He was pretty good with the ball but had some poor misses in defence (though being inside Benji doesn’t help). I don’t think he was a net negative, but I didn’t have him in our top 3. 3\. Nofoaluma 2\. Twal 1\. Packer

    Sue to dogs - Official

Great cover tackle at the end on Rapana too. As said above his goal line defence is a worry, but we've got a couple of other props that stake their claim on defence, I'd happily give Sue another contract and trust Ivan to keep him performing when he doesn't need a new deal.

    WESTS Tigers Team V Canberra....

ET definitely looks the odd man out in the future, but that team is a few years away at best (if ever). A lot of his tackles come as third man in taking out the legs and getting the guy to the floor. He and Packer are the only reason we ever stand a chance through the middle of the field because...

    Lolohea

Where does this come from? Moses asked for a release, and was granted one, the only money on our salary cap was what we had already paid him last year. I may be wrong but that’s just my understanding of it…

    Naiqama > St Helens Confirmed.2019

Agreed on the prop front, as nice as Eisenhuth and Twal are defensively, we just miss that extra impetus across the board. As much as I hate Adam Blair, I’d swap him for Rochow in a heartbeat. We haven’t had line-speed for as long as I can remember, and we saw what Harawira-Naera and Katoa** did...

    Naiqama > St Helens Confirmed.2019

See this is what I don’t get when people pick at our team. We’ve got a fair chunk of our squad in the 1, 6 and 9, the quality just isn’t there. 1\. Lolohea, Thompson, throw in Naiqama 6\. Reynolds, Marshall, Gamble 9\. Liddle, McIlwrick, Godinet Benji has regressed to the mean, Tui never...

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I can see Danny Levi having a similar career trajectory as Cam McInness if he finds the right team, but I don’t think that’s us, especially if he’s upset about being outperformed by a new recruit.

    What's the go

Wasn’t ideal, but we have to keep in mind that Feldt is one of the best in the business at it. One mongrel bounce could have easily been two, but for the most part they were reasonably covered.

Is there any ex WT's players you would take back

I went with Paseka. Hard to vote for some of the bigger names that left on bad terms, and everyone knew the kid was going to be something. Left for an opportunity more than anything, but I’d love to see how Ivan could develop him with Packer, Matulino, Benji and ET around. Definitely fills a...

    Missed E T

Think he means Pearce wouldn’t have scored if Rowdy was there last week Hap. But I agree with the sentiment, really missed his control of the ruck, Parra just went straight at the A defenders and got a roll on all game. One thing I’ve noticed is that after the Roosters (or was it Storm?) game...

    Nofoaluma

I get what you mean, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Ivan did sit him down and tell him about it. He said it was a shock that he wasn’t picked round 1, but all the noise made throughout pre-season was effort and performance would be rewarded. If he wasn’t seen as one of the top two performing...

    Nofoaluma

That article pretty much puts the thread to bed, right? Everyone is quick to jump on the “disgruntled” bandwagon because we see it so often, but it’s nice to get the full story and appreciate Nofo’s attitude. We’ve definitely missed some of his carries, so here’s to a long and successful first...

    Congrats Rowdy..

I’m an unabashed lover of the bloke, and he was one of our best tonight. He’s been denting the line all year and was all over Croft, though fell off a few soft tackles. Seems to have re-discovered a bit of late footwork (or confidence in it, at least) and that’s made him all the more dangerous...

Jeremy Marshall King named at 5/8

I was hoping we’d see him in the 9 to start the season for us, but can’t begrudge a bloke betting on himself to prove his worth. All the best to one of the few bright lights from last year’s ISP team!

    Transport to Campbelltown?

Hey forumers, In Sydney for a holiday and hoping to catch the trial game, can anyone help me out with how’s best to get there? Staying in Darlinghurst, not opposed to Uber but just wanted to check if public transport was easier. Thanks!

    Mason Cerruto & Brenden Santi

I seem to remember Cerruto having big raps on him, but from memory it was always of the Mullaney/Gallant sort. Is that a fair description of his talent? Not a big surprise to see Santi still kicking around either, clubs will always have a spot for a player like him, especially with reduced...

    Same sex marriage debate...

No offence mate but are you using the forum as a sounding board for a school project or something? To answer your question though, is being a multicultural society and accepting of same sex marriage mutually exclusive? To me it would seem like they go hand in hand rather than being at odds with...

HAPPY THAT OUR COACH IS IVAN CLEARY

Then we end up in a scenario like last year where refs are sending almost every decision they can upstairs because then they're absolved of blame and avoid the ridiculous whinging of coaches. I like the current system. Without technology a ref has to make a call, the way it is now, he's doing...
