      Im surprised how many people gave Taupau points, he is a damaging ball runner, but the dumb penalties he gave on the weekend were infuriating…. penalties when we are on the front foot in the defensive set are the worst, he gave away 2 or 3 of them on the weekend.
      You can cop when they earn the penalty by getting momentum and forcing you into trying to slow a set down, but when you are on top or late in the set is so annoying.

      My points
      3. Brooks
      2. Tedesco
      1. Woods (just ahead of Sue and Noffa)

      @goldcoast tiger:

      @pacman:

      Comes as no surprise, the main 3 players JT has tried to take out of the team for next year were the ones who cracked when the pressure was on. Galloway offloading on tackle 1, 10 meters out from our own line with 2 mins to go, giving away the ball. Richards missing like 6 conversions and 4 field goal attempts. Farah giving away the penalty which ultimately cost us the game. Not that this game mattered for much, but there you go. They deserved to finish in first grade, but I for one, am glad they are gone.

      Grow up.
      Saints wear never going to miss unless someone got to him. I don’t think he was straight, but as it’s never penalised at that stage of a game anyway, he had to go for it
      And your maths aren’t much good as there was only two players out there tonight that are leaving
      You can count the dumb laying on players penalties and the missed tackles , as being a bigger reason for the loss as usual. Having said that, most of those players tried to make up for it in the second half
      In case you haven’t heard. Farah is not going anywhere.
      Can’t wait to see him back next year

      Farah not going anywhere? If you believe that then you may believe in easter RABBITS.

      Hang on !!! No Easter Bunny, don’t tell me Taylors got to him too!!

      well, wake up in the morning and we nearly won it.

      Can’t believe they blew the whistle for markers not being square in extra time though……or maybe I can’t believe it given it was against us

      @foreveratiger:

      What’s new ?

      Simona and Rowdy must have been the worst centre combo in Nrl history for being injury prone.

      Serioulsy though, good player that should have been a great player but injury killed his Rep career. 2007-2010 (4yrs) played 100 games. 2011-2015 (5yrs) played 70 games. Thats an average of half a season each year for the last 5 years sitting on the sidelines. Money well spent.

      And some want him as Captain next year :roll

      He’s played more games than Robbie Farah this year…

      rowdy 19/24 games
      faz 17/21 games (3 taken out for SOO)

      Rowdy went off twice with injury, 1 game after just a couple of minutes, played off the bench in a couple, Robbie missed most of a second half of a game when he broke his hand.

      All toted probably played less minutes then Robbie.

      The worst kind of cancer you can get (not there is any kind of cancer you want). Hardly ever detected until its too late, my grandmother died from it. Definitely a good cause.

      Good on the Club and Robbie for trying to more awareness into this horrible disease. My mother was diagnosed Feb 2104 and she lost her battle only 3 months later. Never smoked, ate like a rabbit, just plain unlucky.

      Docs all said the same thing to us that there is simply not enough research funding. So only traditional cancer treatment are available which tend to be mostly ineffective.

      Becoming more prevalent now, which may suggest one of two things: previously ineffective testing or lifestyle disease.

      The wife’s nan has never smoked or drank and is as healthy as they come (was a track runner and tennis player,) has had cancer a couple of times. There’s no sense in it sometimes.

      @underdog:

      @willow:

      Don’t think they’ll risk him before the finals. They are guaranteed 8th spot. If we complete our sets I am pretty confident we’ll beat them though.

      If we smash the Dragons by 30 and Manly rack up a big win against the Sharks, the Drags are out. Points difference between them is approx 62 by my count.

      Our game is first and if we smash the Dragons it will be a nervous wait for them.

      Manly won’t go down fighting, and the Sharkies are due to drop one before the finals kicks off….

      Has to be the only time I’d like to see them smash someone. :mrgreen:

      And our game follows the Knights/Panthers game, so our team will know how much not to lose by, to avoid the spoon. (Or if a win is needed in the event of a draw).

      Thing is, knowing our boys, I’m not sure if that will be motivation or too much pressure for them to handle!

      This game will be close. Dragons wont be winning by 14. Put the hard earned on the 80min draw. Tigers will win in extra time.

      This will make things alot easier. Widdop has killed us in the past.

      Gareth Widdop to miss Tigers clash after suffering a quad injury
      ST GEORGE-Illawarra’s finals campaign has been thrown into chaos with star five-eighth Gareth Widdop suffering a potentially serious quad injury.

      Widdop is considered little hope of being fit for the Dragons crucial final round clash against the Wests Tigers on Saturday with genuine fears he could miss the rest of the season if the injury fails to respond to around-the-clock treatment.

      The English international suffered the injury last weekend during the Dragons shock defeat to the Gold Coast Titans.

      Widdop failed to complain about his quad in the hours after the match, with the severity of the injury only surfacing on Tuesday following a routine fitness session.

      At a minimum, Widdop is expected to miss the next two weeks of football.

      Standing on the hill in the rain at Leichhardt Oval last game of 2014 Vs Cronulla and the boys jagged a solid win, I left believing 2015 would see us Top 8 at worse!! Where did 2015 go…All I heard was Coach Taylor dribble on about positives after to many loses…I won’t be harsh on Coach Taylor but if we are in the same position in 12 months and we hear his same DRIBBLE I may just go fishing…

      Siro looks like he’s packed on some size and strength. He’s really man-handled a few blokes in the last month or so. I wonder what he’s weighing in at these days. He must be closing in on 110kg. Debuted in the high 90s from memory.

      @MacDougall:

      It’s funny, Lawrence is just a really solid backrower. He won’t do too many brilliant things, won’t make too many line breaks. Will score some tries off good line runs, but his strength is his tremendous tackling. The guy is a dead set gun defender.

      Let’s rewind… This is the guy that was a dead set turnstyle but was one of the most brilliant attacking footballers in the NRL.

      Outrageous fortunes…

      His front-on defence has always been solid, I recall him putting many forwards on their back who targeted him from kick offs.

      Not having to chase steppy centres or watch out for Brooks / Benji on the inside is something he’s probably happy about, though he now gets Brooks on the outside instead.
