10 days of hell or highwater

If we beat Manly we have 10 days of bliss.
If we lose then 10 days of hell.
After tonight Im hoping for our sakes forum members & guests
we get the latter.
I hope we get that special Easter.

I think it's likely we will lose our next 2 (Manly and Storm) and then hopefully beat Dragons and be 3 wins and 3 losses … Not all that bad considering... Any win tonight or next week is a bonus and will give us loads of confidence.

I just can't see us playing well enough to beat Manly, let alone Storm... If we keep improving each week as we have been though we aren't without some hope.

C'mon Tigers!

I certainly believe we CAN win tonight's game but that'll be dependant on us improving some more on last week and being able to keep Manly in check, force some errors and what not. The reality is that Manly tonight and Melbourne next up are two premiership contenders. Based on what I see after 3 weeks for us, i'd guess our best hope is finishing between 5th and 8th. A top 8 contender. I think we'll be under extreme pressure the next 2 games. We'll learn a lot about where we currently are as a side.

I know though that I won't be concerned if we lose tonight or to Melbourne. For me I've pencilled these both in as losses. The result itself will be irrelevant. What i'm looking for is where we stack up against where we want to stack up. This will be my measurement. If we can put in a decent defensive show then i'll consider it progress.

If we lose it does not necessarily mean 10 days of hell to follow. Tonight could well pan out to be a learning curve for the Tigers and Mick. If it isn't an absolute run-over from Manly then we can work on our weaknesses and build from there. Otherwise if we find ourselves, Manly 55-0 for example then we are at square one but if anything I think we will either win by the slightest margin or lose by the slightest margin.
Whichever the result, it won't be a bad result if our boys turn up to grind out 80 minutes.

Effort and application are what count foremost for me this evening.

Manly are a stonking footy side and are no easy beats especially weighing up our injury toll
