2011 - Semi Finals Megathread

We really want these teams to lose the rest of their games (although knights and warriors are playing each other next week - draw?).
We really need to be in 6th position, so we need Warriors and Knights to drop their bundles.
At the outside we can jump Saints if they continue to lose.
Gosh I hate the logistical to and fro at this time of the year.
One thing for sure - TIGERS TO WIN! :sign:

Don't worry about other teams. All we have to do is keep winning. We SHOULD win the next 4\. With Lewis out for the Panthers, Prince out for the Titans and maybe even Gallen out for the Sharks in a few weeks (should get a decent stint on the sideline for stomping on a player's face), we're facing some understrength teams outside the 8\. Ideally we should put at least one or two of these teams through the cleaners as well, just as Newcastle have done the past two weeks.

Yes but dont forget we are not exactly at full strength either!! No lote or Lawrence and what's going on with utai? Is he in or out next week?

It's all about form guys!

Look at the panthers. They finished last year in the top 4 but completely capitulated while the roosters and raiders cruised through the finals.

form is everything
defence is key

i think we have a chance anywhere but 8th. Playing Melbourne in Melbourne would be difficult.

Still reckon Cowboys might be hunted down as well . They play Brisbane this week probably without JT and Scott . Matt Scott is a week to week proposition with his back

Very hard to maintain the rage week in and week out and even though we are playing teams that are shot in 2011 Iam not confident we will string another four together, especially without Lawrence. As for the teams above us I think they are in the same boat. but its the for and against that will probably haunt us in the end.

Its one week at a time, and the two are crucial, if we are going to falter it will be Penrith or Parramatta, probably the latter

I'm not sure that dropping a game or 2 in the next 4 weeks is such a bad thing. If we win our next 4 that will be 8 in a row going into the finals then that will be 12 in a row to take out the big one. Maybe a loss in the next 2 weeks is not such a bad thing?

My predictions see the Tigers entering the Semi final campaign in 5th place with 34 points.

This takes into account 4 wins from the next 4 games and a number of results.

Biggest losers for mine will be the cowboys with a series of losses and the Dragons who will do it tough against Melbourne and the Warriors IMO…

Interesting point is 34 poinst is the same as last years tally which saw the Tigers finish equal second ( 3rd on F/A).

5th is OK. You will get through week one, provided 1 and 2 don't both lose in week one, and that is not going to happen in 2011.
Who did you have in 4th? and, can we drop one of the next 4 games and still finish 5th?

We are going to have to rack up big scores against lower oposition if we want to make 5th. Its possible but I would have us more at 6th

thats a good line for players playing the match, but as fans i think its good for us to pay attention to other teams… its what makes this end of the year so exciting..
