This is my thoughts on our pack including the bench for next season:-

8. Alex Twal
9. Api Koroisau
10. Stefano Utoikamanu
11. Sean Blore
12. Isiah Papalli
13. Jackson Hastings

14. Fonua Pole
15. Zane Musgrove
16. Kitione Kautoga
17. Fa'amanu Brown

I'm assuming we lose Joe O and don't recruit anyone. For depth we have Matamua and Seyfarth.

Some questions:-

1. Is that pack good enough ?
2. What is the weakest position ?
3. Should we play Hastings at 13 ?

1-no not good enough-2 weak links are 8 11 n 15-3, Maybe,rotate Api Hastings Nu,depending on the game n fitness

You'd be close to on the money.....
Nowhere near good enough, No impact with the ball from the Starting Middles...
I prefer Brown over Hastings at 13...
But Hastings probably needs to be there for his other attributes.

We've really painted ourselves into a corner with recruitment... Most of the Middles are very 1 dimensional. I don't see a spot for Twal, But think he probably needs to be there somewhere to plug the middle.
We've got Middles who can't do anything but tackle - And the Middles who don't know what tackling is. I feel Ofa must be there - Or there abouts.... Or there'd be noise around him.

If Ofa is in your list - Then I think it's Twal that makes way.... Very similar players, Joe much better with the ball, And not not worse without it.

Brown plugs so many gaps - Could play in centres or 6 at the drop of a dime also...
So he should be there... Stefano will be there.

All in all, We need some impact and diversity through the middle....
Twal, Tamou and Stefano all a very similar body and running style for mine....
Need to change it up and give them something to think about.

That pack isn't good enough....

I like Twal but think him and Musgrove need to go. If Twal improves his offence then maybe he can stay. Really need go forward

Talau may be an option as the bench utility...

Probably not as good as Brown but could prove to be something, for us.

8 Stef
9 Api
10 Twal
11 Papalii
12 Blore
13 Hastings

14 Brown or Talau
15 Pole
16 Offa or Musgrove
17 like some one like Kautoga

Seyfarth, Dias, young James as depth.

When Twal fired up in a few games this year he looked awesome... it's definitely serviceable but definitely not amazing and the depth is incredibly weak.

We're getting rolled every week at that man....
With no go forward at 13 which makes it worse....

Twal - Domestic
Stef - Domestic
Offa - Domestic
Pole - Not really domestic, But certainly not impact

Utility and Back Rower....

All those Domestic middles are taking us no where...
We need impact man - BAD!!

Yeah I agree man.
No idea where they're coming from.

Wests domestic house cats.

Need some jungle war ready hell cats.

The pack is a major concern. Most of our guys are serviceable first grades but none of them offer an impact.
Twal - workhorse 80 minute player - useful
Api - will had heaps to this team
Stef - good but still young and doesn’t have massive impact
Isaiah - excellent player but will he bring it here?
Blore - promising but injuries have hurt his development
Hastings - this combo works but leaves us short

Pole - rookie promising but still a ways to go

The rest
Seyfarth - average workhorse type should be depth
Musgrove - wasted roster spot
Dias - rookie with a long way to go
Kautoga - a teenager with potential
Brown - pretty one dimensional and has been worked out
Jason M - another teenager with potential

We desperately need experience and impact in our forwards or we are going to get pumped every week up the middle. Injuries will cruel us.

Alex can't start imo earl, no impact in the softening up period. He runs too upright and easily tackled.
Stefano worries me as well as he had little development game time this year.
I wish Pole was a little bit taller because he showed glimpses of passing the advantage line. He could be a gem and any criticism of him is not warranted...how many NRL games has he had?
When I cant think of a solution it indicates to me that we are desperate for some real grunt up front.
No answers sorry Earl 😩
