I really don't get this at all.

So:
Aidan Sezer was an Okay'ish first grade player and has been out for ages.
Blake Austin was a kinda boom 5/8. Could really score but got found out in defense.

I loved watching Austin play. HELL NO.
Sezer doesn't have enough of a head on him.
There are only a few fringe options and that shows how bad a situation were in.

Best to worst:
Mitchell Pearce gets lured from England and signs with us not Easts*
Brodie Croft. (on a 7 year superleague contract).
Sam Walker.
Chris Sandow gets lured out of Retirement and isn't charged (scraping barrell here).
Kyle Flanagan.
Aiden Sezer.

Of all these options I would love for someone like Jehrome Hugues to come here. If we had to pay Overs, like Mitch M money so be it. We need a good experienced halfback OR we need someone who is very tight with Latu Fainu assuming we are still signing him.

*Cmon Mitchell. Easts screwed you, pretend to sign again with them then come to the Tigers. Why the Chooks get so much love from players yet keep treating their players like Dirt.

Yeah why don’t we just keep throwing overs at everyone and hope something sticks. Keep being the laughing stock of the league.
All your options are 0 chance of coming apart from Flanagan who sezer would be a better option for 2 years. And sandow 🤣🤣

Prob is Sezer and Blake are both cooked...in the SL.

And were cooked years ago in Aus.

Yes, both could do a very basic job for 2 years...better than what we have now (but so are most state cup halves)

Two years of those two though would mean completely wasting two years of Api, Klemmer and Bateman. We need young, dynamic, halves whilst those 3 are still top class.

I don’t know if you have watched KOE, but there is very little talent when it comes to true halfbacks and the good ones wouldn’t leave to come to us.

Isn’t doing the same things we have been and getting the spoon for the next 2 years more of a waste ?

Imagine what a story that'd be... A son of a Tigers legend guides Tigers to their first finals in 12 years... or go to East and be treated like crap again and most likely dropped if he doesn't perform well enough for their liking.
Roosters treated him really badly during the Cronk period.

One thing in favour of Sezar/Austin is that they have a historic 'combination', so thee wouldn't be that struggle early of learning each others game.

That said, both seems rather unlikely.

I'm not 100% against the idea. kicking game & direction. Then develop the youngsters behind them
