Now it is just like a bloody political election, whose side are you on…..Labor or Liberal? JT or Robbie?
Sheesh it was only 10 or so years ago when this time of the year brought massive anticipation and excitement for WT fans, going to the footy was exciting, entertaining and fun. Now there is more interest and intrigue off the field than on.
RL was great back then. How times have changed.
Hate seeing our club getting beaten up by itself yet again. Unite, Commit, Achieve? Pfft.

The amount of people that i hear say "im off league", "league is dead", etc is at an all time high.

Outside of Tigers games, footy for me is like a bad habit that i cant break. I still watch it, but always feel let down or disapointed and think to myself "ive had enough of this crap". But then next saturday its on my TV again.

So many things disappoint me about footy. One at the moment is how commentators and journo's pick and choose what things to jump on and then ignore other things. They are all scared to bag Melbourne and Qld. They ignore the fact Bellamy talks about cheating the salary cap as the NRL's fault and how he wanted to stick it to our governing body for simply making him play by the rules. Ultimate grub that guy, but no one says a word about it.
Gavin Robertson is a bit of a fool on 2SM but at least he has the balls to call Melbourne for what they are snd expresses his disgust at them and Cam Smith.

Too many weak people with the power to comment on our game has me hating it but watching it like an old bad habit.

I much prefer watching kids play. Junior foot up to state cup, much more enjoyable.

Also just remember that in '92 and '93 the Broncos expenditure on players was triple what most other clubs could afford back then. That says more about those premierships than getting rid of 3 players who were way past their use-by date.

what sport isn't run as a business?

the athletes we have in our game today is because of this business. these athletes wouldn't be half as good as they are if money wasn't poured into getting them fit, skillful and injury free.

those "naturally gifted" athletes wouldn't be attracted to RL if it wasn't for the money.

RL used to be the common man's game from what i've been told, but it's popularity means that businesses and the corporate public will be attracted to it and invest money in it.

it's still fun for me. the drama that ensues sells news articles, tv shows, radio shows and newspapers. i dont care much for the drama and like it to be left on the field but there is a majority who like the drama and probably watch it for the drama.
