All is coming Together ; Sheens

WESTS Tigers coach Tim Sheens is used to the annual cries from NRL fans to “axe the coach”.
>
Last season he even had fans throw their jerseys at him following the Tigers’ capitulation to the Rabbitohs.
>
But generally when he comes under such fire he’s already one step ahead of the astute sideline coaches and referees, and dealing with whatever the issue is.
>
Last year’s calls largely centred on Sheen’s ill-fated decision to move Benji Marshall from his familiar five-eighth role to halfback.
>
Marshall was a proverbial duck out of water, fans raged and Sheens quickly back-tracked. This season he’s given himself multiple options in the event of an injury in that key position, to avoid the situation of last season. “We’ve still got a few issues with injuries but I don’t want to focus on them,” he said.
>
“Everything is coming together well; we did a lot better in our last trial (v Roosters, 19-8 win) than our game in Campbelltown (v Eels, 30-10 loss). The guys really looked at it as a rehearsal (for the season) and played accordingly.”
>
Sheens said there was still room for improvement in the 2011 squad. “Our young forwards, particularly Simon Dwyer, Aaron Woods and Andrew Fifita, are still finding their feet,” he said.
>
“(Gareth) Ellis and (Beau) Ryan are back on track with their injuries and (Bulldogs recruit Matt) Utai is playing well enough to get himself into the squad.”

not going to get carried away by all this talk,
results on field is what counts.
when wests-tigers make the finals, and possibly progress thru to last game, then the fans will know is all comng together.

It's funny how injuries de-rail you. Look at Souths last night losing Burgess and the Geddes. In 30 minutes of football it was a disaster for them for the next few months at least.

With us, if we lose Lui, Moltz can slot into the 7.
If we lose Farah, I'd be slotting Lui into 9,
And if we lose Benji, the I think I would put Moltz into 7 and Lui at 6.

Fullback options should be Brown, Mullaney and McKinnon.

Our depth this year is simply amazing. South's shouldn't skip a beat either with the amount of forward depth that they have.

When we have blokes like Woods, Brown, Daniella, Mullaney, Shirnack, Moors, Latu, Flannagan & BMM in State or NYC, then we really have nothing to worry about!

Even Tagive & Miller… the list goes on of 1st grade capable players.

Amazing difference to just a few years ago.

Talking about last nights games I think we saw the results of the Cowboys best signing Peter Ryan as defensive coach I know it was round 1 and you would expect to see committed defense from them and at times Broncos attack looked pedestrian at best But they absorbed pressure quite well Last year in that same situation they would of had 30 plus put on them

Very nervous, Going to the Game in as a guest of the Dogs with the whole family.

22 hours 17 mins 46 secs

they just don't have the tiger blood running through their veins like us.
as kingovkings mentioned, we'll be WINNING.
