Anasta

The best benji impersonation i have seen, shit kicking game, runs sideways, hospital passes and errors a plenty. He should never be in FG in this club again.

I have a feeling his game time will become less and less with Austin coming on more often and longer each time.

Stuff his supposed experience, he's absolutely crap and almost cost us the game with 3 crucial errors .
I hope Potter realizes that he's a liability and does not meet first grade standard and that we need to move forward with Austin or Moses

I think he'll hold his place until after origin.
I think if everyone is fit once origin is done we'll finally be rid of him however.

His impact is clear to see although I have doubts about him over 80 minutes. Imo the coaches have used him well and he's an excellent utility atm rather than an 80 minute ball player. Will be very interesting to see if Moses spends any time in State Cup these next few weeks as we could be looking at a Farah/Brooks/Austin/Moses ball playing unit quite soon.

no doubt id prefer a better five eight, but at the moment his composure and what he offers off the ball is what our young players need.

he'll see the season out and hopefully by then austin and brooks are better for having a season under their belt.

to clarify, i dont think he's by any means a great player, but he is a good director of players and we definitely need that.

I tend to Agee if all are on deck one thinks the run to the semis the team will be very different.

As long as anasta is fit he'll get picked each week IMO . He's on tired legs as we all can see , but as others have said he's their to help our young blokes out .. No doubt this will be his last year then all the bitching and whining will stop ?

I watched all the player interviews on the WT site earlier today and there was a recurring theme. They all mentioned a lack of direction in the last game and Anasta providing it upon his return. It seems the players want him on the field and that is good enough for me, as it should be for all supporters.

I too am on record as wanting Austin to grab hold of the six jersey, but understand that Anasta can still bring more to the team, if only through guidance, than the alternatives can at this stage.

Austin has some talent, but when he is on the field he is not a team player, he moves forward but not the team because they have no idea what he is doing next

Yeh I too much prefer the Anasta game where you can ask the opposition what Anasta is doing so you can be on the same page.

:crazy

Give him more game time with the team, Im not seeing it.

The team plays more structured, controlled footy with anasta at 5/8 and more flair with Austin at 5/8\. It's working well as potter is using him to add impact and spark when/if we're looking sluggish

Potter left it far too late for my liking tonight, he was lucky the team got over the line.

unfortunately what makes austin good for us could also be a liability at this point in time. i think potter is getting it right. would 10 minutes earlier have really made a difference?

I actually thought Anasta played well today!
I agree with the comments potter is using him and Austin well. Austin really does seem to spark the team when he gets on and I don't see him as too unpredictable. Only thing about Austin I find is he tends to shoot a bullet whenever he is doing a short turning in pass…been amazing how they've been caught!
