Another week of dodginess it seems

Blake Austin copping a high shot that goes unpenalized on the field, the refs cannot be that poor to not see something like that. The Leilua no-try, Corey Oates scored a try that was identical and it was awarded 2 or so weeks ago.
Paul Carter being knocked rotten but was allowed to stay on the field, wonder if the NRL will bother to take action over that? GI getting away with a pretty decent shot to the head of Kenny Edwards that took him out for the game:wasn't even put on report for it. Parra using the Head Injury Assessment rule as a free I interchange haven- how many players went off? It seemed like 6 or so?
Yet another round of lottery rulings, guesswork and unenforced rules…....another day in the life of the NRL.

Refs were ordinary towards the end of the Melbourne/Cowboys game.

Will not make a decision on anything.

Players clearly taken out during high balls, refs literally praying the ball goes into touch.

From what I've heard it's not the bunker to blame, it's Tony Archer. He's been a royal pain in the backside of the other refs out there. The second Luke Patten makes a decision that used common sense which was in my eyes a breath of fresh air, he jumps down his throat, and nips that in the bud.

NRL is fast becoming amateur hour when it comes to the refs.

It's a welcome change….. Players being penalised for blowing a kiss or brushing a players ear lightly with his lips, becoming a pussies game.... About time these players hardened up a bit ... If it reduces the diving I'm all for it... A broken snoz never hurt anyone... Just get on with it

I'm all for hardening the game up- don't know any other fan who isn't TBH. But a bloke who dives is given a penalty whereas Austin who was clearly hit high gets nothing. But the refs will pull out a ticky touchwood penalty when it suits for nothing more than a love tap. That is the bit that ####s me the most, the absolute inconsistency is disgraceful. "Amateur hour" doesnt even begin to describe our laughable organization that expects fans' support and monetary contributions.

Agree
All the on field stuff and bunker cock ups seems minuscule to me now when I see the blatant sweeping under the carpet of issues re Parra cap and Mitch Pearce etc… and the unfairness of tpas
The game is a joke now... I try not to let it get to me... Just laugh

All you can do is laugh really isn't it? Its bloody hard to laugh though when the game you have loved most of your life is a cesspool. Hard to invest too much of your time, cash and emotion into something you can see is sinking into a contrived mess. Good luck if your team is at least afforded the opportunity to compete as an equal in this sporting lottery. The NRL is turning to #### IMO, probably has been for years but the last few years has been very noticeable. It's a shame.

Ref's favouring the Away Team at Suncorp…Never thought I'd see it...

Rub of the green still exists, instead of it being whether or not the ref can clearly see the grounding, its whether the refs decide being silly sods on that day.

eh its been the same every week for as long as i can remember (not that i can remember that long)

probably just a recency bias making people think this group of refs is infinitely worse than the good old days

Sounds like Archer is similar to a lot of bosses, the ones that say, **you can make any decision, as long as I agree with it.**
Or the ones who have to make a comment on issues that they are not involved in and say, **I would not have done that**
Bosses like that are lucky they survive the day.
