i have really admired Api’s efforts in the main these past 2 years when other well paid players efforts have been questioned..

I won’t dwell on tonight’s effort though for Api … but just wondering what the consensus and plan is to get TDS as the starting 9?

Im hoping he can transition off the bench next year and take over as the starter in 2026…

Anyone with me?

I thought we’d see him back after 10 in the sin bin what happened there? Definitely with you da silva should be sharing the role with api especially since he’s been poor the last month or so

TDS plays with a lot of heart.
We see it with Galvin.

The 14 is his for the taking.
Just don't know where that leaves Latu.
13 perhaps.

I don’t think Api has ever been an 80 minute player. He’s out on his feet trying to see out a full game. An oversight on our clubs part maybe.
Would be perfect having TDS come off the bench for him. But he still needs to be our primary hooker in 2025

Yes ..I agree completely that Api needs to be the main hooker in 25…

But I’m hoping TDS can be the man in 26.. this will require a plan to expose him to NRL play behind Api next year

I don’t want to be too hard on Api, cos he has been all heart for two years, but tonight he was horrendous. Granted, we were still 10 behind, but we had an opening after Fainu scored. There were a subtle shift in momentum and he killed it completely with one of the dumbest tackles of the season. Very disappointed with him tonight.

Sorry but Latu has done nothing to win the 14 jersey next year. He can’t cover multiple positions and especially not 9. It should be a no brainer to put Da Silva there when your starting 9 regresses over so much over 80 minutes. Unfortunately for Latu he will essentially have to wait to see what plays out with Galvin. Still contracted for 3 years

Api fell away badly this year. Last year he was certainly our best. Unfortunately with the team stocked with turds Api played EXTREMELY average all year was given naught criticism at how bad he was playing compared to said turds. The last half of this year he has been abysmal. Tonight was his worst career game, truly pathetic. TDS needs to play every game at 14 next year till halfway through the season when he will swap into the fulltime hooker role. Truly blooded from 2026 akin to Farah coming in in 2003 and being blooded by 2005.

Fainu needs to be our halfback next year. Maybe not from round 1, and certainly dependant on how Galvin is going, but that kid is classy and we need him in first grade.

Api has been average to poor for most of the last 3 months.
We have grinded him into the dirt and aged him to the shithouse.
I’d make TDS the primary hooker next year in terms of minutes and use Api as the strike with short bursts of 15-20 minutes x 2

They're good headaches for the Tigers to finally have. Genuine depth, competition and accountability in the key 6,7,9 positions. We all know how the decade long Brooks zero accountability ever experiment went.

I didn't watch the game tonight had to go to a birthday party but he did play with an injury tonight

Need to find a spot for him somewhere. He oozes class and can create something out of nothing. Hopefully an injury free 2025 ahead and he can show more than the glimpses we have seen in recent weeks.
