Apparantly the Fans view on Mason will be considered

According to 2UE this afternoon, Steven Humphries and our club will be taking the fans opinion into account when they decide whether to sign Willie Mason.

Does anyone on this forum know how to start a poll on this issue?

Laz

When you start taking fans opinions into signings and releases it is time to consider therapy

But to answer your question Start a new topic and under the body should be a dark grey box with the create a poll option

Thats a cop out.

Either sign the guy or don't. People who consider not supporting the tigers because of one player aren't going to be fans who pump money into the club anyway.

I dont like mason myself but I support the tigers so il have to deal with it

Bugger the fans, the Australian coach has to decide if we really need to take the punt on big Willie. My Humble opinion, both BMM and Moors have looked great off the bench, if one of them end up back in Reggies because we need a spot for Willie I will be disappointed. On the other hand every team in the league will have a game plan to exploit our "middle ruck area" and if Willie can make that stronger that would be great. My guess at his age he will offer so good line running, but may be a liability in defense

FMD… This isnt a decision of what day of the weekend the Wiggles should play.

Fans are too emotional... Make a decision based on what's best for the team structure Sheens!!!

i was talking to a saints mate this morning, and he suggested to me that the tigers were probably monitoring supporter reaction to the possible signing on social media sites. We both work in advertising, and while this kind of thing is now big in the industry, i'm a little shocked it's true about a possibile recruitment.

If that's true maybe Bug is onto something!
What next ? Have a poll to see who should be captain or to name the squad?
These guys are paid to make a decision - make it or find someone with the guts to do so.

That's ridiculous! If there is so much indecisiveness and conjecture in the club about signing a player, then don't do it! Seriously, this is becoming a circus.

Wasnt it jack Gibson that said when if start listening to what the fans think, next thing you know youre sitting with them.

Load of BS PR IMO

hence Icon.

anyway - the fans are pretty smart - sometimes smarter than the coaches - if this is the sign of times to come, where one day the forum can select the team then I'm all for it. 1 vote here for Willy.

Whether they say so or not, these kind of considerations are made each time a player signs. They look at their value as a footballer, their work ethic, personal lives, fan base, star power etc. They're just stating the obvious. they look at the player as a package and its the same as it always is. The only difference here is that Mason has a history of certain behaviour and that adds more weight to the off field considerations.

Great quote from the master , he had some great one liners old Jack

They won't make the decision based off what the fans think. Humphries is trying to appease the sponsors who are worried about the negative perception he will bring to the brand. When they announce his signature expect a 'we took it to the fans and the majority welcomed the signing' statement from Humphries
