Question: does it matter to people if players take drugs you go to your local gym lots of guys and a few girls take them

Yes, it matters if they cheat.

OTOH I don't really care if some fully sick bra at the gym wants to "get aesthetic" for the next music festival.

As I understand it, the primary reason for their slowness is getting the legal stuff (i.e. their powers and ability to use evidence) sorted. That said, they don't exactly seem to be in a rush…

Would it be due to the World Cup and the possibility we could be banned by WADA if the NRL has knowingly picked two or more players that were taking banned substances

It's a legal minefield, so of course it's going to take time. I don't think ASADA have ever said "Hey dudes, we'll have this turkey all tied up by next Friday". Nor have they made any comments about anything otherthjan the "processes" they must go through/ All else has been media and fan driven rumour and speculation. Other than the poorly presented initial press conference (which ASADA had nothing to do with), I find it difficult to criticise ASADA given the obvious scope of evidence and personel involved.
