He is listed among the fg list of players on the weststigers website so does that mean he is now top30.Im confused as there are 34 players listed including Offa.Does anybody know what the story is

He was listed on extended bench on the weekend. It’s that time of the year that players from reggies can get a limited callup to the NRL over the season. So probably more that than him being handed a full NRL contract.

Would be disappointing & makes our squad weaker if we promote James at the expense of Joffa this season.

So what does it actually mean to be listed in the fg squad if not top 30

He's probably been upgraded but no news until later it seems

I doubt he’s been upgraded; they probably just put him on the website now because he was included in our 22-man squad last week.

Nothing at this stage of the season because non-Top 30 players can get picked from around 11 onwards.

Just means he can play games during the rest of the season but not count as a top 30 player, so he basically gets match payments rather than fixed income.

Think he can’t play finals if we made it unless promoted to top squad however.

The rules have changed abit since my days of playing.
