Because he can play fullback, in the halves and at dummy half. He probably wont get much time unless there is an injury or if someone is playing really badly.

Pride wont be restored in the Australian jersey until the team is picked on form, and not who's been there in the past. If players like Gidley get picked who've played 2 games this year, fringe test players will get the feeling there's no chance of them making it.

Lyon should be no where near a green and gold jersey unless it's in Rebel Sport. Hayne shouldn't be there. Gidley shouldn't be there. Weyman's lucky to be there.

Lyon's played good this year, and is only there to replace josh? morris.
Weyman has been firing all year as well.
Hayne on wing is just stupid as is picking gidley who has only played two games.
