'Light image resizer' might help'
you can download it for free. I use it and seems to work fine.

PS. Im no computor nut, so there could be better once out there.

I've found it doesn't matter what the original size of your picture is if you're linking it to an outside URL.

My current avatar is something like 420 x 360 and when I link the URL address to my avatar in the user settings I use the default pixel values in the bottom section (150 x 160) and it resizes no dramas.

I've not had any issues yet at all, even with animated GIF files.

Cheers guys 🙂 . One more thing, when i try to upload a avatar it sais " 1Avatar cannot be uploaded " … no matter what size it is, it just keeps happening. help ?
