Bellamy not happy

He cites ball control as a problem.
What a coach.
Never happy. Talk about standards.

After watching him speak on 360 last week it's hard not see his passion for the game and his club. Chalk and cheese to the national coach that was sitting across from him.

Maybe in his twighlight years he will get sick of winning premierships, wcc's, producing dally m players and want a change…a bit of a DIY renovation of a club and he can come to wests...ha.

I would love to see bellyache coach a team minus " the big 3". I honestly feel he'd struggle…. And his super coach mantle would come undone . ... Which is why he didn't leave the storm to coach the dragqueens

He has ….... NSW SOO side for a couple of series
 
All this talk of Bellamy and the big 3\. The first game Bellamy coached at the Storm featured the debut of Billy Slater. Cameron Smith would have had half a dozen first grade games max to his name that day and Cooper Cronk was completely unknown and not even a halfback. Bellamy is a big factor behind the success of the big 3.

So is the fact he surrounded them with a team millions over the cap.

Makes it a fair bit easier to develop and nurture when you cheat.

For example Cooper Cronk wouldn't be half the player he is today if he was lining up along side scrub players.

Being able to develop your game in a side thats constantly winning tends to work better than playing in a spooner side.

Smith joins as a rookie in like '02, melb hadn't played finals footy in 3 years previous
Slater joins as a rookie in 03
Cronk in '04…as a rookie.

So your saying that two guys with 3 years FG between them guided cronk...not the coach...ok

People seem to forget that Melbourne breached the cap because the players they developed were now worth so much on the open market.

CB is a super coach, don't kid yourself. He makes average players great and great players future imortals. It's not a fluke.

I'm not saying that. I'm not saying those players developed themselves. I'm not saying Bellamy isn't a very decent and capable coach. I'm not saying its all just a fluke.
 
Cheating (over a million extra) and keeping a great side together helped Bellamy and the players a lot. I don't see how that could possibly be a controversial position to take?

Would he have still been a great coach without the cheating? Would Slater have still been a terrific fullback? Probably, but it was a task made easier by cheating, we should never forget that.

This is very true. You only have to look at how the forwards have played under Bellamy, year in year out. None of them have been what you would call 'big names', but they play as a pack and get over the top of most teams each year. Ryles' career has been resurrected, I've no doubt Moors will shine there too. God, even Anthony Quinn looked like a top winger playing under Bellamy. This proves he can do miracles! :laughing:

Buttttt

CB joins in 03 with a lack luster team and a rookie smith. Makes the finals for the next three years legit. Straight out of the block he hits the ground with results while at the same time building stars that won't be able to be held in the same team eventually.

Melbourne record under CB is like finals every year for like 10 years minus the points being deducted in '10.

I just can't buy that a team can dominate so severely just because they had 5-6 great players without the input of a great…super coach...

Just agree with me cause all this Melbourne is great talk is making want to have a shower and cleanse myself.
