Despite him playing like a twat and that he is way below what is expected in the nsw cup let alone first grade, after watching this video, I shed a tear, sure he is crap now, but cmon just see what he has done., 2013 is done, were not realistically going to get alot by playing brooks and moses for 2 games, just let him play his 2 more games and he can part ways with us forever. No hate on any of you and I will respect your opinions, its just sad seeing him decintegrate from what he was into what he is now :bawling
 
I think Brooks should play the last 1-2 games of the normal season in the NSW cup and then go back to the holden cup For the finals so at least he can have a feel of playing with the big boy's maybe even Moses can come off the bench for a game…. But yeah now that i think about it i think we should just let him (Benji) finish off his career on a good note it's only for 2 more games guys, Then we will be rid of him if we drop him now he will have a massive sook and go on TFS and make a fool of himself and will probably write an article about how hard done by he was.

Watching that made me so sad in light of what's going on at present. I never ever thought Benji would exit our team or the game in such a dreadful way.
 
someone here may be able to confirm, but i heard the club has been inundated with mail and feedback from fans calling for him to be sacked. is there any truth to this?

but i agree, its sad to see his demise (form and off field antics)… always thought he'd be a tiger for life (no matter how critical i am of his game)
 
i've been away for 3 months and since I returned, I can't really believe what's been happening at the Tigers and especially with regards to Benji. But my God, what an unbelievable talent he used to be. Great memories.
 
Is there a highlight real of his errors of late?. That would take your sadness go away. What he was and what he is are at the opposite side of the spectrum. I too would not of believed if I had been told
 
At 12:30 Benji takes an intercept - the crowd realize it's Benji breaking away and all roar and cheer at once.
We were all out of our seats at the SFS at that moment. It was special.

Benji brought an excitement that was unmatched. He made fans stand up out of their seats at will. He is like no other player I have ever seen and will probably never see again. It was special back then, it's emotional now.

& agreed on that moment bigsiro. I remember coming half out of my seat and riding his run. It was borderline as to would he get clear or not.
Then he did and the whole ground absolutel erupted.
Magic moment.
 
If only he played like Luke Walsh has been this season. Crap, got dropped to NSW Cup and was told he was no longer wanted, now in career best form.
 
Seriously, enough of the benji threads already. Why cant there just be one mega thread instead of 10000 individual ones…
 
It really gets to me how he's performing at them moment but I know further down the track I'm gonna remember him for his past deeds.
That semi final series in '05 was unreal from him. In my opinion he got us that title. Everyone played a role but he came up with some big plays. A try against the cows from a scrum in the semi, the try save and then interecept try against the broncs, setting up a try from the scrum against the drags and then the Richards try in the big one. He seemed to jump start us in each game. The love for him will return.

Hmmmmm. Your post has brought me back to earth. I have been annoyed with the Benji of the past 18 months and have forgotten the great times of the past. It has been hard to understand how such a talent would simply disappear. Your comments on the final series is probably quite correct and I thank you for reminding me.
