Benji's Babes

That bench in first grade would be eaten alive.

I don't think this is a good idea.
We need to win as many games as we can in an attempt to avoid the spoon.

With a big win in cup, maybe a few come into grade and we hope for the best.
Yep, there’s no point to blooding so many youngsters at the same time..and getting their asses kicked will contribute to lower morale.
The good coaches will introduce a newby against weaker opposition, and definitely not a handful of debuts in the same game.
In a few games this season, I’ve seen our opposition show pity, taking their foot off the accelerator.

Its tempting, whats the worst that could happen? You get pumped by 58 points?? Its ridiculous to think the kids would have a result no worse then the shit show that is the millions of dollars in the top squad. But like Demps and 2040 said, its not the best idea. You cant throw them all in as it could affect their future and confidence. Could harden them up, equally they could sperg out and be sucking their thumbs crying in the corner of the sheds at fulltime. Sure they need to be blooded. 10 debuts this season. Benji def needs to keep blooding them as much as he can for the rest of the year in prep for coming seasons but needs to balance it out with the "top" players. Good enough = old enough.

On top of that,
Or squad is riddled with blokes who don't want to do the work....
Throwing kids in the deep end will only create more of this "It's all too hard" mentality we're littered with....

How do blokes end up as professional athletes these days and can't (or won't) back themselves to get the job done is beyond me....

I like the idea of.more games in 24 for the young stars.

We need the older players like Klem, Ice, Bateman to play better first

Last game of the year we play Parramatta for the Spoon 🥄 what a game Round 27

If the starts align and no one wins a game till then

I fully see your point Block but think that drip feed is best BUT starting with some bigger names- Bateman/ Klemmer/ Twal pick bench only. Get Mason and Lauilli ( winger) in. Maybe Tos ready but think Douhei will stay.
How did Fainu go at 6 in KOE Sunday ? I’ve seen no reports on him at all ?

Why would move players from Flegg to first grade.

Please don't do this! I can already sense what low self esteem the current young brigade has...to send more into the fray will destroy any confidence they have. And the assumption here is that Benji's coaching isn't working because of the "older" people in the team. Whilst they can certainly wear some of it, I can't see how a younger team would address what are other glaring errors. The fact is that youth alone, on the park, will not cut it, without (good) experience alongside it. Come to think of it, it is not happening on the coaching ranks either.

I understand the frustration. I think just dropping Princess Steffanie will do the trick in sending a message

It would be madness to do that to the young ones
They need help and development not floggings.
Shame the experienced players we bought in to help are now past their use b6 date. It's a never-ending cycle at WTs

Maybe not for long, as there are reports the Benji might be looking at walking away at the end of this year???
just reporting what i heard yesterday and also read this today???.....don't shoot me !

Foxsports.com.au asked Elias what success looks like for the Tigers in 2024.

“Absolutely nothing less than top eight, top four is a little ambitious but definitely top eight,” Elias said.
“They’ve spent as much money as the premiers Penrith in the salary cap, they’re on the same numbers. Everyone is on equal grounding on what they’ve all spent.
The difference for the Tigers this year is the personnel and the bucks stops with the coach. (My note - this is always a way to have some padding between the coach and those that appoint him!)
The bloke coaching them is one of the greatest attackers in the history of the game. He’s won the club a premiership, he knows all the razzle dazzle but he also respects defence and we need to produce on both.”

And then the plan unravels...

A lot easier to introduce young players to a winning team and formula, Unfortunately we dont have that luxury.Seems a while away , so we dont have many options.

Heard and read a bit on zero Tackle , Old BuzZ I think it was ask the question and both Benji and Richo have said not happening Richo agin says he is 100% behind Benji and planning things around him long term Benji said no way he’s stepping down , gee I hope for a Benji sake Richo shocks us al between now and kick off in 25 cause if they think Luai will save us they are nuts we need more solid players on 2 year deals to get up,the ladder and help the young blokes get ready for nrl

The mere fact that it’s being raised is a concern in itself. And when you hear people saying, I’m right behind Benji that’s even worse( sharpening the blade).
I’d like to hear Richo say, “I’m right beside him on this long, tough march but together we will achieve our goals”.
