Hi everyone

The Perfect Catch (the US version of the UK "Fever Pitch") is fantastic. Story based on Boston Red Sox.

Highly recommended!!

Not bad Tigergran but I prefer the original. The book (Fever Pitch by Nick Hornby) is better and is a must read for all sports fans. It basically traverses 20 years of support a football team (Arsenal) through good and bad times. Great read.

You're right, southerntiger - in that the book Fever Pitch is fantastic and a must read. But I still think the film re the Boston Red Sox (The Perfect Catch) is a better movie than the Fever Pitch one.

Both are worth watching, though.

Yeah that is a pretty fair depiction of hooligan activities in the 80's and 90's. I lived in Luton from 93 to 96 and I can tell you that these soccer gangs are full-on. I suppose I'd be cranky as well if I followed that ridiculous sport

Nothing that features Jimmy Fallon is worth watching. He even stunk up Almost Famous in the 5 minutes of screentime he got.
