I doubt he is been sarcastic. I've heard other players, coaches and commentators state the same thing over the years. Most won't agree with that view though - but life would be boring everyone agreed with each other.

No it’s not acceptable. I agree. Five years is too long. Everyone at the club knows what we want to achieve and we’re fighting as hard as we can to reward our fans with the finals appearance they deserve.
