I reckon he's got a point How many Saints players played Origin before he got there . Gaz , Darius Boyd and Creagh . we have to find a way to have Origin and Tests as stand alone games Wonder what we would be saying if Keefy , Lote , Robbie , Rhino , Rowdy all were playing origin and we were dropping games we were expected to win ???

simple. have state of origin on saturday nights with no nrl matches that weekend and leave test matches until after the nrl season. you know it makes sense!

Then the Best of Australia play Best of NZ in Origin football . Have a 4 week open trade between clubs for players to be able to switch clubs(much like they do in EPL or even have loan players) while all of this happens . The NRL just needs to think outside of the square . Even run a mid week comp knockout comp while origin is running . So many options they have not looked into . Hopefully when the Independant Commission kicks in they will have someone with a big enogh set to change things in the game .

Wayne is a smart man, he knows his thoughts and ideas will be taken seriously by the NRL because he has such a massive reputation in the game. He's really only pushing the agenda of stand alone weekends for origin games. It's not a bad idea at all, but they should be on Sunday nights, where ratings will be massive and the games will sell out anyway.

Well all I know that things need to change as the players and the fans are two most important things in the game and look how many big names who would be playing origin are out due more than likely to be overloaded with too many games

Easy solution - put Origin to bed :astonished: It's a dying concept now anyway - same media hype, same BS, same inept selections and same results every year. Winning a premiership and playing for your country should be the ultimate.
Oh and yes Happy, I do remember Wayne having a bit of a whinge when he was at the Broncos, now. You probably would have heard it more up in Queensland though, I imagine.
