Everybody take a breath and look at what we are for what we are!

We are a team crippled by terrible contracts.
We are team with minimal speed.
We are a team without a consistent spine.
We are team with minimal talent.
We are a team with alot of youth and some inconsistent experienced players.
We are a team with minimal impact players.
We are a team that lacks consistency.

While it hurts we DO NOT have the team to compete every week.

What we do have is a coach trying to install hard work grit and determination. And we are seeing that in quite a few players.

What we have is a super positive recruitment process which is unearthing alot of talent.

what we have is positive for and against which is something I can't remember having for a long time.

What we have seen is some of the best performances a tigers team has shown in the last ten years in terms of grit, defence and determination.

Lets all be honest we are the average toiler at the moment and we are fighting for consistency.

Lets keep things i perspective we are fighting for an 8th spot but more importantly we are trying to build and identity let it happen there will be speed bumps.

I agree with the OP to a point, it’s what the club does now and in the next few months that matters. If we aren’t ruthless with moving a few players on and strengthening weaknesses then we’re in big trouble next year.

If we have to pay overs to attract franchise players, so be it. Titans did it with fafita, souths with Inglis. Once we get one, the rest will follow on market prices.
We need change desperately.

Offer everything we’ve got to Luke Keary for 4 years

I agree with much of this
I think the problem lays with the performance of a number of the players
Not the coaching staff or recent recruitment
We are signing some exciting young players
Its the older more experienced players that have been letting us down
Lets move them on
They have had years to prove themselves and they are just not capable

For starters we need two new halves that can create more
At least one speedy winger
More aggression in the front row
And more depth
Add to that a hooker that can last the distance after harry leaves
And maybe a fullback with pace

Most sensible post in three pages. Agree with you.

That's why I said Maybe
I think Doueihi is safe under the high ball but doesn't have that burst of speed we need
Maybe he is injured

Trouble is everyone is looking for a new Teddy, Turbo etc.

There once in a lifetime players - this guy we have imo will be good. Everyone that
plays FB doesn't have to be Eusan Bolt.

Damn, I thought we were getting Usain!... But we ended up with his slower brother Eusan.

What a scam

Where I agree with the post, that what we are getting is what you would expect from our squad, given the class of player we have at our disposal, but......this is nothing new, all our weaknesses have been there for a long long time and nothing much seems to be happening to rectify the problem. Goal kicking, speed, the spine and a forward leader have been out Achilles heel for years.

I guess attracting players to the club is our major problem and how do you fix that is anyone guess, but paying massive overs is probably the only possibly way.

Next year without some miracle recruitment we will be in even a bigger hole....very hard to be upbeat and positive

So many great posts and opinions.
My mark of a good player is would he make the top 13 of the best side.
How many of our current players would make the Roosters top 13? May LL Cool J and Harry Grant.

Great post by the OP. Any fan on here that really thought we were a top 8 side in 2020 needs their head read.
We are where I expected us to be. I think we should pay overs for Addo-Carr next year. Do everything we can to off-load Brooks and most importantly find someone that can kick.

He definitely looks like he is playing whilst injured. This will be another test for Madge. I son't think Douehi should play again until he recovers from whatever injury is slowing him down.

Idk why everyone gets so downtrodden and thinks losses like last night are the end of the world. We bounced back after that poor loss to the Titans, and we’ll bounce back from this by probably winning our next two games.

Now the season is slipping away let give Smith, Madden, AJ and others a decent go in NRL, if they shoe promise keep them if they are dudes let them go.
I think we need to employ a sprint coach, halves coach and kicking coach.
Stop playing injured players.

We need change desperately.

We recently tried that with Reynolds, Packer and Mbye. It does not always work and when it doesn't you are screwed for years.

We need a franchise star but we also need young players with potential and reliable, hard working players.

How often do we win two in a row?
