FRIENDS of tyro Tiger Robert Lui are crediting his solid form to recent news that he's about to become a dad.

The 20-year-old Torres Strait Islander was an unsung hero of Wests' big win over Penrith last Sunday, showing deft late hands to lay on a double for barnstorming Englishman Gareth Ellis.

"Robert's partner is due next March and the baby has given him a newfound maturity," Lui's agent Mark Stewart said. "He knows he's got an opportunity to set his family up for life."

Lui certainly showed glimpses of the powerhouse running game you WTForumers spoke about while he was in the 20s against Penrith.

I hope he continues along this path heading into the Semis.

With Benji, Robby F and Robby L runing at the line, opposition defences will worried..

Then Add Lawrence, Reni, MxKinnon and MOLTz - All looks to a bright tigers future…. Now were is that Shinny New Prop.

I'm pretty happy with Fifita.

Andrew Fifita needs a full time friend…

Not sure if is Junior Moors, Tame Tupuo, Cayless , TNT or a newby

I like the Parra model with a a for prop rotation - I think the tigers would tear the oppositions apart with constant Go forward..

Thoughts Guys

Technically we do use a four prop rotation with gibbs, payten, galloway and fifita….unfortunately its been rare for them all to be fit at the same time this year.

I credit Roberts good form to his own natural ability …... it was only a matter of time before he began to blossom.

you just need to look at Whiz's halfback ratings in today's tele to see halfback talent is short on the ground - and that we have two of the best no. 7 prospects in the game with Rob & Tim.

Rob is a natural footballer who will develop in the Thurston mould over time!

He is not lightning quick - but nor are Pearce - Hodkinson - Walsh - JT - Hornby or Wallace! McCrone is the quickest in the NRL and is not yet a quality halfback!

He has a quality kicking and passing game + can offload in the tackle better than any of his contemporaries.

Tim is lightning fast with a good long boot and long passing game - but is not a great organiser at this stage. He plays in the Marshall mould and opportunities arise without neccessarily being pro-actively constructed!

There is room for both of them in the 17 next year and beyond!
