BRING OUT THIS POM?

Have watched the world cup games and this pommy back rower has stood out and i think he would be great at the tigers just like ellis was.
His name is Sean Oloughlin, what does every one think and how many have seen him play. He is tall and runs the ball well and has a good off load and his defence is very good, i think he would be a great buy.

Might be a possibility , he almost signed with the Titans back in either 2007 or 2008

High workrate , played with Patty at Wigan

You'd want to fork out a lot of dollars though

I like the cut of Ben Westwood's jib. A no-nonsense hard head. Although at age 32 it's probably not worth it.

My favourite player to watch the whole tournament though has been Mose Masoe. Annoyed we didn't make a play for him when he left the Panfers. Someone finally told him he's a big boy and how to use his size properly. Would've been a great addition to our pack.

started as a back and moved to the pack I think…

Tough Kid!

His Dad and Uncle were both good players as well and is related to Andy Farrell also

I thought Westwood was England's best player against Australia. At 32 he would still be good for a season or two out here. The ESL is nothing like the NRL in terms of physicality, 32 isn't over the hill over there.

The prop with the headgear was very good too.

Wonder why Eorl Crabtree didn't get selected in the England squad for the WC tournament. He would have to be one of the better props in the Super League, maybe he is injured?

Nah he just wasn't picked, I know some people were surprised that he and Morley were left out. Not sure if he was out of form or the coach just looking to the future.

Thanks for the info Ferg. Not surprised that Morley wasn't selected- his best form was close to a decade ago. Crabtree's omission is strange though, he seemed to play alright in the Super League this season.

Do you know if Ellis has retired from international footy? Or maybe he just didn't play well enough in this injury-riddled season.

What were their names Happy?

Same bloke that debuted for England/Great Britain in 2004 so not exactly a new kid on the block or an under the radar signing. Doesn't do enough for me, nowhere near the impact of Ellis and I prefer the squad we've got already. Haven't been impressed by him at all this WC.

The player with the headgear you're referring to is Hill from either the Wire or the Giants, Crabtree while looking the part is one of those players while looking like Tarzan plays like Jane, O'Loughlin missed his chance 1 or 2 years ago.

Bring out Chris Tremlett.
Absolutely useless at cricket but would go alright in the front row.

Would love to see Broad placed in the front row, he'd only make one run but it'd be a hell of a laugh.

Sean O Loughlin is 31 and Ben Westwood 32 whereas Chris Hill is only 26 and still improving his game so would probably be the better bet.

Yes Chris Hill is impressive for a big white slab of a lad. Also impressed by young Ferres, he's got a star quality.
