Brown & Daniella Waste of Time? Yes? No?

They are good depth signings. They probably wont make the starting 17 but they will come in handy if injuries strike our backline in a long and taxing season.

brought in to cover the loss of Collis, Tagive and Mcdonnell. They'll do there job if called up and both have nrl experience, better two players that have been there before than a couple of rookies. Both players of massive potential, who are young, cheap and will try to make a name for themselves at a new club. I won't be suprised if there pushing for first grade selection next season.
They are not a waste of time

Hard to say without them playing a game for us.
Has Payne & Galea been a waste of time should they both be punted as seems the case/

Brown played 20 first grade game and is an impressive outside back, I personally expect him to be the starting side

Daniella I think will be a great reserve for both Lawrence and Ayshford and provides the depth we were missing this year in the outside backs

daniela has heaps of speed to burn
brown was the only player who you would think could only play footy with the sharks last season. hopefuly with a better club he will shine

Brown is a good player. He tips the scales close to 100kg, has good speed and covers all the outside back positions. He's the best depth signing this club has ever made. The amount of first grade games he plays depends on injuries and his ability to reach his potential in a year where he should be reaching his peak.

Daniela seems less likely to play NRL. Havent seen enough of him to make a fair judgment.

Im gonna say "no".

Brown has good size, he seems to have a good frame, but i would like more pace from him.

Daniela has speed, which is always dangerous, if he improves other aspects of the game he can be very good.

Add to that, we've lost Collis, Gallant, and Halatau so we dont have a lot of depth there and also Topou has had injury probs and Tuiaki broke his ankle so he may be less effective as well.

How about we wait & see how they are used & see how they go first…

WE already know how they go, their average players who couldn't get a run at their own clubs..We currently have 2 unsigned centres who play for the west magpies, one is Rhys Pritchard ,who was the leading try scorer for west and 3rd overall in the state cup comp, played centre for the NSW Residents this year, also was 18th man in the last 2 tigers games, and the other is Josh Davis who is a block busting centre who is as strong as an ox, very strong in attack and defence, and ran all over Daniella in a game earlier this year..surely these two guys should have been signed before Brown and Daniella.. PS; i know the doggies are sniffing… :astonished:

I think we definitely could've done without both. Do i expect them to improve our side, most probably not. As has been mentioned we need more depth and they'll give us that. So on the basis of depth, they're no waste of time.

I know a hard-core sharks fan (apparently there is such a thing) who was of the opinion Brown was the best of a very poor backline. IMO a good depth signing.

BIg Waste of $$$…without even seeing them!

Not really, they have both been signed for just over the minimum wage, thats hardley a waste of $$$
We should'nt be complaining, for once our club has got genuine depth across the park
If we sign Lima & to a lesser extent Cayless,we should be a top 4 side no excuses

I agree, I'd prefer to give Pritchard and Davis a run over Daniela and Brown, but they're not the worst players in the world to be signed, and I'm sure both players would agree that they have been signed for depth with a view to be used in the event of injuries. It would be nice to see both players kick on at the Tigers but they've got their work cut out based on what I've seen of them so far.
