I go through most of the NRL podcasts to help pass time here in the office.

Interesting interview with Paul Gallen who spoke good words about the Tigers of his own volition near the tail end of hi interview on the BSB.

i know it was a trial but both teams took it seriously and cronulla are tipped by many to be in the top 4 this year. anyone who watched that game would see that we dominated for 50-55 minutes of the match (remember it was 6 tries to 5). every time we got down the sharks end we looked like scoring, our attack was the slickest its been in years. nice to hear gal give us some credit.

last night michael ennis was on 2ue and when talking about the trial he said ''we dominated the first half and had a good lead, then we took most of our players off and the tigers came back'' which was total crap. bird, maloney, graham, holmes and townsend played the whole 80\. the only tiger who played 80 was nofo. with 15 minutes to go i dont think we had a single starting player on except nofo. really shits me cause people who didnt see the trial write it off as sharks belting us and then we came back against newtown. shouldnt bother me but it really does.

Im in ICT and I have the mixed blessing of typing almost all day. Its nice to have some noise in the background.
 
I don't know how much of a compliment "I don't think they'll get the wooden spoon" is :laughing:

He is not saying we are going to win the comp. But he brings it up of his own accord and states "if they keep the team on the field that played us they will surprise a few people and finish alot better then everyone has predicted". It's good to hear that from a bloke has achieved just about everything in NRL.
 
Yes it is an honest assessment, that he voluntarily offered on our squad.
Call him a goose till the cows come home…he knows football and he knows it first hand.
It is an encouraging remark.
