Bulletproof? How come Foxsports suddenly love us?

So Foxsports sees our roster as only 1 of 4 clubs thatis perfectly balanced to overcome injuries and pandemic to keep a decent side on the field.

BULLETPROOF...

TIGERS

Halves: Luke Brooks, Jackson Hastings, Adam Doueihi (also centre and fullback), Jock Madden

Hooker: Jacob Liddle, Jake Simpkin

Prop: Alex Twal (also lock), James Tamou, Joe Ofahengaue (also second row and lock), Thomas Mikaele (also lock), Tuki Simpkins, Stefano Utoikamanu

Second row: Luciano Leilua, Luke Garner, Shawn Blore, Alex Seyfarth, Kelma Tuilagai

Lock: Tyrone Peachey (also halves and hooker)

Fullback: Daine Laurie

Centre: Reece Hoffman, Oliver Gildart, Tommy Talau (also wing), Junior Tupou, William Kei (also wing), Asu Kepaoa (also wing)

Wing: David Nofoaluma, Ken Maumalo, Starford To’a (also fullback)

The Tigers have got one of the most well-rounded squads heading into the 2022 season — and that’s with two of their players not expected back until later this year.

Adam Doueihi is looking at an April to May return from an ACL injury, while a fresh pec injury has delayed Asu Kepaoa’s return from a torn ACL to June.

It’s a massive whack to the back line but nothing the Tigers can’t handle. After dominating the Super League, Jackson Hastings is back in the NRL and will slot in at five-eighth — at least while Doueihi recovers.

English import, Oliver Gildart adds a stack of talent to the centres, while William Kei and Reece Hoffman have been upgraded to the Top 30 and Junior Tupou is a new signing.

Jock Madden is a handy understudy for the halves and unlike several clubs, the Tigers have two specialist hookers in Jacob Liddle and Jake Simpkin. They also have one of the competition’s most versatile players in Tyrone Peachey, who can cover lock, halves, hooker, second row and centre.

They forgot to mention a few of those guys are already out for a chunk of the season.

Will be interesting to see how this season players out with players coming in and out of squads.

Hopefully we are bulletproof and manage to field a similar side each week

I think that the trick card is Madge. Will he be more understanding, inspirational and encouraging to his players? A slight change in his demeanor especially during his half time addresses could be very significant.

Hot tip: they don't love us. They're using us as click bait to get people talking. Just like ranking Brooks and Hastings as the 8th best halves combo in the competition lol

Be funnier if they ranked em 9th as per the ongoing joke regarding Tigers being 9th all the time.

They’re probably not far off the mark tho

Quality of halves in the NRL at present is at an all time low. That’s why we’ve seen an influx of coaches trying to turn fullbacks into 5/8’s (Ponga and Brimson come to mind)

This is correct.
They aren’t going to dash the hopes of one of the biggest supporter bases before the season commences. They’ll find any possible ray of light to talk us up.
Once the footy starts, well it’ll be inaccurate to continue this line of reporting.

It's not even close to the mark, a halfback coming off arguably the worst two seasons of his career and a bloke who hasn't played in Australia for years

They intentionally make their lists dumb so people talk about them. They ranked sharks, dragons and broncos below us

I re-read the list and I am still barely convinced the ones ranked below them are better (Wighton and Fogarty the exception). So that’s 9th

That brings me back to my original statement in saying that the quality of halves in the competition are dog shit

Have you seen the list?

It smells.

There is about 2-3 top quality halves in the game at the moment, followed by average to middle of the road

Sharks - Hynes & ... Trindal, Moylan, Matcalfe!?

Dragons - Hunt & Mbye?

Broncos - Renno and Albert Kelly ?

I think that's fair, bar maybe Broncos cos Renno is so good.

This year is, according to the Chinese lunar calendar, the year of Water Tiger😛ray:

The list should be made after round 10.
So many unknowns, due to new combos.
It’s just silly.

Agree.

Like making a list of 2022 jerseys nicest to ugliest.

Doesn't matter come September.
