Just trying to take the pressure of the Sharks. Have another drink, flog

I was actually talking about relegation the other day.

Wouldn't work though because the championship winner would not be able to acquire good players again when they get raised to the big league.

Be good to see some of these Tigers players dropped to reserves though 😂

Brisbane get to be in the top list because he writes for the muckrag that owns them. Transparently on the take, lives at the TAB, gin blossom. Will be dying of liver disease shortly.

No great suprise there, the drunken sot puts us and the dogs in 2nd division while his team and the rorters with far less support base/juniors/area and expansion possibilities stays. The last few brain cells he possessed have given up on him.

What happens when the Broncos and Cowboys finish 15 and 16 and we end up with only 1 QLD team in the top flight. Will not happen for that reason.

Corruption within the NRL wouldn't allow that to happen.

Okay Buzz, let's say Newtown wins the "Championship" on their $4m cap and gets promotion. Do you really think they'd be competitive given they spent 40% of the player budget of the top comp teams? Do expect them to go from a $4m to $10m budget in a month? Where do these new players come from? The relegated team? What if those players are under contract? Do Newtown just punt the guys who got them promotion?
How exactly does a club in the fringes of the top level get players to sign long term deals? How do they go from $10m to $4m overnight on relegation?

He's had some dopey ideas but this may be his loudest brain fart yet.

It’s a good idea in theory, but the depth isn’t there to sustain it, like there is in the EPL.

Glad someone posted this I haven’t laughed so hard for ages. Does the fool realise that the Broncos won the spoon last year and are second last this year. How good would that go down with the TV rights. Also he wants to give the second tier teams a 4 million cap. How does he expect them to compete when they get promoted they would have to buy 5 million dollars in players in just one off season. Hard to believe that someone actually pays him for this dribble.

Can't say I'm surprised that someone has *again*spruiked the idea of WT's being booted from the comp.
I realise it's only hypothetical but the fact remains, the idea (or agenda) is in these peoples thick heads.
It's just never enough for these toss-pots to continually sink the boot in for every other little negative regarding our club, whether it's fictional or factual.

“This will force them to think smarter and run a business as well as the Roosters, Rabbitohs, storm and Parramatta”

Some habitual cap cheats in that lot

Why would you loan your players to another club if you were promoted? Surely you want them so your club gets promoted?

Can’t see why the players union would go for it when you can’t even get a draft pass them.

He should have watched Liverpool vs Manchester United last night if he recons media and execs can speak for the fans.

We have had 1 media led league decision on the country and it stuffed the game for years.

Good in theory only. I can't see how it could work given the population size that the NRL can draw players from,

Football (soccer) is played right throughout the UK where players can be drawn from a population of 68 million plus players from throughout Europe. Revenues generated from the game can support a primary and secondary championship with promotion relegation.

NSW, Qld and NZ have a combined population of about 18 million. No chance of this succeeding. Love his idea of a draft. Courts have already ruled that a draft is a restraint of trade. It can only operate if players are willing to agree to it. No chance of that either, i reckon.

Since we have rarely ever finished in the bottom 2 teams why is he relegating us? Doesn’t he know the big joke is we finish 9th most seasons, that leaves 7 teams that usually finish below us. How about you target those teams for once you drunken sod.

Wests Tigers are currently on the same competition points as Sharks. Sharks are also currently experiencing much worse coaching issues.

Also forgot to mention that Sharks play Panthers this week.
