Can we fix this?

End of the club/ the tigers are finished really time for some reality people. How many clubs have either got rid of there coach had cap / player problems in the last 2 seasons .All that's wrong is we get rid of the coach and hope that a competent coach is hired and completely cleans the place out of all support staff and move forward , at this stage the club has still a formable roster that is still a top 8 prospect with out bringing any one else in at this stage. I support the moving on of the players and still would cut a few more tied of all the crap get over it time for a change time to move forward trust me when I say if the right coach is chosen a new and exciting era will be born be positive!

You can throw away those Meriton and Trend Micro ads.

They will fix it. There is plenty of time at the moment. The 2012 season still has another week to go. **At least this drama is being played out now before the off season really begins for them.** Best time to sort it out rather than November or December. Despite all the dramas and who coaches them next year, the tigers will still be fielding a very stong team next year. If all of this doesn't make them fire, nothing will.

100%. If this was happening at the start of or during our season I would be more worried.
I'm betting that in the years to come we will be looking back at this period and saying we are a much better club for all of it. It is the shake up we desperately needed and come round 1 2013 most of it will be forgotten and the club will be heading in the right direction again after rolling backwards for the past year

A couple of years ago the storm were caught cheating the cap. They were disgraced and demoralized . They were forced to release players , amongst them inglis.

Now they are contesting the grand final.

A well run club can do anything.

Yep, other teams have proved they can turn failure into success rapidly. The thread should read " can WE fix this?"

Big difference they still had the best coach in the NRL and a spine of Slater Widdop Cronk and Smith and a current back row of Manu and Hoffman

Only one Tigers players possibly wins the battle of those six Marshall v Widdop

The fact that this slimy club is going to be in a GF with the very players that were right at the heart of the cheating absolutely disgusts me. They should have been forced to absolutely rock-bottom both financially and in regards to their playing roster before they had a chance to redeem themselves.

They have left a stain on their club and the NRL in general that will never ever be erased.

If success comes at the price of integrity and honesty then what real good is it? I would much rather that WT shed a few players if necessary and upset some fans along the way than forever be known as vile, cheating vermin that had to cheat to be competitive. The Storm are the bottom of the barrell :imp:

I'm concerned about how the players respond to the changes.

It's been frequently reported on this forum that some of the players (Benji and his crew I'm assuming) have some ego issues that have split the dressing room.

As it stands, our team structure in attack is "Let Benji do what he wants". I'd be interested to see how this dynamic changes when a new coach comes in and tries to change the structure. I hope it's for the best, but like Penrith this year and Newcastle a few years ago, there can be teething issues with new coaches.

After about the third game a real coach will either bench Benji or drop Benji and the team will learn from that

As Bennett used to say to Wally Lewis "Taking chances is a fine line "

You choose right I'll be happy ,if you are wrong I'll kick your ass"

Winning football games is all about playing percentages (much like golf )

I think our team will struggle with that concept , we seem to like low percentage plays

We seem to always be aiming at the flag no matter the risk

Sometimes the middle of the green and 2 putting is the better option

Its called taking your medecine and swallowing your pride

I fail to see what needs to be fixed. I think that this is all good so far.

Get rid of Sheens, promote some juniors, but a player or two on the right dollars and we should go really well over the next couple of seasons. We should be a chance to win the comp pretty quickly.

I think the issue will be we will still have Pro and Anti Sheens in the squad and after 10 seasons that this will play out during 2013
