Clearing up the Luke Brooks salary discussion

I've seen a lot of ridiculous comments about what his salary is (have seen some people say as high as 900k), and to be honest until clubs make contracts public we'll never really know what players are being paid... However in an article from the daily tele on Sam Walkers impending contract negotiations the following was revealed:


600k is definitely not too bad, whether he's performing to that level is up to each individual's opinion. I'm not a overt supporter nor basher but I do hope he finds the form this year that everyone wishes for him. Just posting this to clear up some of the recent convos

Nope , he’s not the next Andrew Johns so he sux .... when has try assists it’s because the other person did all the work , when he scores tries , it’s because the work was done for him etc . And when he stuffs up it just proves how crap he is , doesn’t matter the context

NRL quality halfbacks are rare. I think it was Matty Johns who reckoned that it takes a halfback at least 100 games before you really know they're made of. It's why coaches are so reluctant to let them go, and why they command so much on the open market.

In my opinion, Adam Reynolds and Nathan Cleary are the only genuine marquee halfbacks the competition currently has. The rest of them all have flaws in their game which coaches cover by having other players fill partial roles of the halfback. Teams like the Roosters have players like Victor Radley plugging one of the roles of the halfback (first receiver ball-playing).

Someone can just as easily quote someone who says it’s $800k and say it’s correct.
I recall when he signed (as the only one of the big 4) it was widely reported then he was on $550k.
He’s been upgraded since, so I would doubt it’s only $600k now.

I clearly stated that until clubs make contracts public we'll never know. I was just posting this to offset the 900k comments as I remember like U that he was on the 550-650 range
