Constant Player Movement Rumours

Isn't Noyce the one who has backloaded all these contracts that are biting us in the arse now? Someone was always going to have to be the one to pull it back into line. Just so happens it Humpty

Noyce's doings aren't biting us in the arse now. Humphrey's took care of all that when he took over. He re-signed the players that were backloaded on Noyce's watch onto lesser contracts because the players allegedly took pay cuts for their team mates and loyalty. Funny how they weren't thinking about what effects that the inflated contracts they signed would have taken on their team mates and club that they're loyal to when they signed them. Funny that??

Whatever it takes to be a successful club as long as it is within the rules of the game.

Simple fact remains that we are a professional sporting organisation. We are not a family, we are not a group of mates playing footy. People outside and inside the club may like to view it that way but pure brass tax we are in the business of being successful, growing our financial base and serving our stakeholders. Thats it.

Past is past in terms of previous administration. The current administration in conjunction with the coaching staff have to make decisions on what direction they wish to go in and make the cuts and aquisitions as needed. It is never good to see any servants of the club but this isn't the bush leagues it is the NRL and the administrators and coaching staff are responsible for whatever outcomes their policies bring about.

Whatever happens I follow this team. I wish all of our players that leave the best but hope they suck every time they play us

Chris without the salary cap we would lose half or players let me assure you we are from from the richest clubs going around.

Naah they probably were told it was a grand final bonus.
You know those guys that won us our only comp.
I guess you have links to all these stories youre telling us chris.
Seems if we are over the cap its amazing seeing as we bought some juniors and Utai on nothing this year.
Looks a right mess NOW…..but yeah keep blaming Noyce

Best post in this thread by far. Very easy for us to sit back and criticise, but at the end of the day, we don't have the luxury of sitting down and reviewing every contract and seeing who gets paid what, and whether backloads come into effect and by how much…

I've got my own concerns about this, but if the club is going to be over the cap next year, I don't want to see them try and cover it up like the Storm did. They managed to shed plenty of players last season and look at them now, you'd be hard pressed to notice the talent they are missing.

Unless we see the books and how the salary cap exactly works i cant see how anyone should point fingers at either of them but in saying that to say noyce is any better then humphreys is just a opinin really.

We dont know about backloaded contracts and we only know we got fined on a technicality this year which the club is apprarently fighting ….so all is good.

SORRY WILLOW
