This isnt directed at you kul not in any way.

Nothing wrong with what simon said and it was in reply to balmain bug in large letters saying where is simonthetiger and baiting him for a few weeks but you guys aloud it.

It was closed because it was potentially heading down an all too familiar messy road and the closure was not targeted at any individual at all.

Heheheeeee…thats how I saw it.

And just for the record,I reckon its awful that people are giving Sheens and co a hard time.

Footy isnt an exact science, and its easy from home.

All I can say is that I am extremely happy with the effort from everyone involved at the club, and Im not on my own.Plenty of my mates who love the tigers dont post on sites like this cos they cannot believe the crap that is aimed that the boys that are representing them.Sometimes I wonder too.

And one more thing,I got to buy some super cheap stuff from the club for me and my son who proudly wear our tiger colours to all games, and I got the chance to meet the players and clap them on the field with my son again at Leicchardt Oval.....thanks Lyndall if ur listeneing.

Not bad from such a crappy club.

Cheers.......

The negativity of a percentage of users is justified. I think we are all frustrated at the continued failure of the club to make the semi finals.

It seems that a certain percentage of the fan base (both here and elsewhere) feel that their entirely justified sense of anger and frustration makes their argument (and no one else’s) valid.
For these fans, the continued failings of the club on the field provide the momentum for their self-fulfilling arguments.
I have to admit that I’ve been guilty of it at times too. The recruiting decisions of the club, the home ground situation and (my big sour point) the terrible marketing initiatives are all issues that have been wound up by the clubs continued failures on the field.
When there isn’t much to celebrate, what else are people going to do but complain and look for people to blame everything on. It’s human nature and it’s something that we can’t avoid whilst the club stays in the doldrums.

I think the only way forward, as a group of fans, is to understand and respect each other’s views and restrain from attacking each other. We can’t have a culture of “that person thinks that Such and Such is good so therefore we have to bully that person until they succumb to what WE believe in or until they disappear”.
At the same time, we have to respect people’s opinions. People have a right to be frustrated. People like Balmain Bug have spent years following talent like Shannon and rightly feel betrayed that the club has ditched him. People like old mate Mulvi (Adamoflillyfield/themanonthehill) and his cheersquad are right – they can see a problem at the club and they want change.

It’s how we go about getting change that separates us from the rest.
Stating your beliefs and attacking anyone who doesn’t agree with you is wrong. That’s what the islamic terrorists do.
Instead, this place is here to promote open, honest discussion about the club.
Uncensored (almost) and unbiased.
That’s what it was built for, that’s what we come here for and that’s what we need to remember when we involve ourselves in this community.

Balmain bug complains about everything KUL and we have all spent time and effort watching a player come through the grades only to be let go due to whatever reason and there no point bitching about over and over.

Yes this is a forum and yes people have different opinions and yes there are guys on here that dont agree with anything the club does cause its no longer magpies or Balmain Tigers stand alone.

Heh we just get sick of the endless SHEENS threads.

The endless sheens threads are annoying.

The new rules only went into place a few days ago and they are designed to stop these endless threads.

The mod team is all over it, ready to pounce on anti-social behaviour and alike

If you look hard enough, you'll probably find that we've already taken some proactive steps in addressing these kinds of issues, including points raised in the latest survey.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Simon, I will say one point on the post you made above. This year is the first since 2005 where I too can say I was proud of the effort on the field. However, the effort in 2007 and 2008 in particular was non-existant and if you honestly can sit here and say you were proud after 2007 and 2008 then I believe you aren't watching the same game as me.

I am not happy with many aspects of the club off the field. I am not happy with our recruitment, with our team selections, with our home ground situation. Combine this with not being able to make the finals for four years running and I'm not sure what you expect other than Sheens (and the clubs management) to cop some deserved criticism.

Did you implement any anti-Noyce rules??

The original post was about people bagging John Morris.

It's been said before by many people that not one fan could doubt his commitment, his stength and his courage.
He just ain't a halfback and the results speak for themselves.

John Morris was guilty of nothing except being the guy chosen to play out of position.

I'm not going to make excuses for the club, sheens or anyone. I've said before that I believe that it was Noyce who ruined the club's cap, thus we were forced to get players like Morris to replace Prince. That's just MY opinion. I'd be happy to keep J-mo on board at the club in the number 14, at 13 or even at 3\. Again, that's my opinion.

But to lead back to the first part, I think the bulk of the attack on John Morris has been by a select few for reasons which - all things considered - are fair.
They just went about it the wrong way.

I never condoned what they said, but I can't blame them.

Again, that's my opinion.

Thankfully it's in the past. 2009 was a successful failure. Bring on 2010

NB: on a side note, I think the club's childish comments about "so called fans" was extremely unprofessional. I hope it comes back to bite them.

I have my doubts that Tim would have said that - that sounds to me more like a media officer's spin on things to get noses out of joint … just MHO.

Considering the fans contribute to paying his wages, it was a pretty stupid thing to say.

I think your right on the money there…...Sheens with all his media savvy knows not to alienate fans even more......it seems very media officer driven....given the history.....

As far as this board goes everyone has a right to their opinion and can express it in anyway the want IMO....freedom of speech and expression it's what's make us great..Most who bag Sheens or the Club, the players, the cheerleaders, the ballboys and the waterboy do so cause they have a passion and deep desire to see the Wests Tigers to perform to it's potential on the football field...Sheens is the man responsible for that....

The constant tirads against Sheens get tiresome because no matter how valid the point......Sheens is here to stay as long as he wants too...The Wests Tigers Board are responsible for that......all the rantings and ravings of the usual suspects will never change that fact......if this forum gives them an avenue to vent that frustration at least they can have it challenged by those who don't share their view......

Wests Tigers are a great club......it's great to have a place to come and discuss All things Wests Tigers with those with equal passion.....

Right on, Kul. well and sensibly said. Sometimes the ravings from some of the unhappy get a bit much and I think that there have been some very unjustifiable things said about Sheens. The injuries that laid us low at some stage weren't his fault, nor were those "forward pass" calls by Ray Charles like linesmen that cost us a few games. We dont know who's carrying injuries either, and that must have an influence on some of the what seems to us odd selections. We've got some great young kids coming along for next year who have been retained and whoever it was signed Gareth Ellis deserves a medal! It looks good for 2010\. I wish you all a happy off season, and remember: "Tiges to GO, in Twenty one O!

I love that Catchcry, Old Bluebag….."Tigers to Go, in Twenty one 0".....has a fantastic ring to it.

You can't fault the courage of the team, speaking of injuries, with 7 players out of 17, having to be needled up to play.

Though 5 months of Off season seems to get longer and longer with every season

We really need a sook's sign off thread?

You know where these high horse jockeys can take a parting shot at us (supposed fans!) before riding of into the sunset forever or until they get their panties unbunched ready for next season?

Ummmm endless "Sheens threads "i wonder why people are continually discussing Tim Sheens ummmm?
Could it be that we haven't made the finals in 4 years?

If we take away the negativity of some fans justified or otherwise,

Remove the harsh calls against us from the equation,

There is really only one thing that we need based on this year's performances.

**A goal kicker**

And if I was to add anything else, it'd be another Gareth Ellis, love to have Laffranchi back - sadly it wont happen.
