Preseason - 16 Feb (dogs, Jubilee) = 27 days

Preseason - 21 Feb (eels, Leichhardt) = 32 days

Round 1 - 7 Mar (Knights, Campbeltown) = 46 days

Observations

- we don’t need to wait until round 2 this year. No round one bye. How bad was that last year!

- short back up between trials suggests the first trial may not have too many established players playing or playing long minutes

- all panic set to break out if we don’t win the trial games lol. Eels or tigers fans probably in panic after the trial

Are these games being televised? Need to re-activate Kayo if they are.

Probably only fringe first graders and mainly lower graders week 1 at Kogarah...usually the case

I’m sure as usual too much emphasis will be placed on trials, win or lose. Interesting that we are playing Parra considering we play them in round 2, and then again on Easter Monday.
I think this is a huge bonus for us. When teams get a new coach it normally takes a while for them to start playing properly they normally seem lost for the first few months

usually I'm all for building combos in the trials, but I really want to see our key players wrapped up in cotton wool during February.

it's our best chance at making the playoffs in years and we need everyone fit and healthy. given Bula's still rehabbing his shoulder I think he won't play, but ideally I only want to see our first grade side get 35 minutes in the second trial.

I think that's generally the case.... First half of trial II is usually just the main players
