Daniel Anderson- next coach??

Parra does nothing for a million years…..the bloke gets them to the GF and are in the mix this season, and they want to cut him......cant see too many lining up to coach that mob

I'd like steve folks. He's already dramatically improved our fitness throughout this season (perfect example - Chris Heighington), imagine what he could do with another off season and full season. I would put us in top 4 for 2011 if he was the coach

 We are in the Top 4 Blakeeeeeee

I get where you are going, but I have seen this many times before. Many people give Emplyees promotions on the back of good result, but fail to understand they are just good at their job?!

Steve Folkes as a people person must be questioned, prior to unleashing him on the structure and culture of this Team.

In the mean time, I'm glad he is here, and as I stated in a previous post, Steve Folkes is possibly our Best Buy of the Year.

Hahaha after today, I stick with what I said earlier, "Keeep Sheeeeensyyyyy" He is champion this bloke.

Well,he's not in the "supercoach"category like Bennett/Bellamy /Smith,but he has a good track record & quite honestly the Tigers are absolutely desperate for a change..someone who has a fresh perspective on players bad habits, someone who doesnt have old favorites.
Not my first choice, but in my top 3 for 2011..which Sheens certainly isnt!

No.

The guys got a good record in the esl but he was coaching the best team.Getting the warriors to the gfinal was a good job.But he does tend to get people off side.

we dont need the disharmony that anderson brings…. there are plenty of players at the eels who would be glad to see the back of him, believe me !! i think sheens needs to draw the line somewhere when ' staying loyal ' to players that have done the job for him in the past and give opportunities to those who deserve it from the bret & wests. but it is too late now with semis coming and you dont make changes unless through injuries. carn the tigers

I heard Sterlo say on radio yesterday coaching isnt a popularity contest.
He's not there to be liked, hes there to coach footy.
Why does he have to be popular?
Why do players have to be popular?
Some of the best are very dislikeable, but they get results.
Gallen, Matai, Hodges etc etc
"Oooh I dont want him …hes a grub"

I agree with what you are saying to an extent… i just think coaches who are liked will always get more from a side, just how you always seem to put in more for managers or a boss who you like.

Brad Fitler was liked and so was Browny

None had the respect of their players.

Disagree - Mate

Coach Sheens is a holistic Head coach - We had nothing b4 he got here, The whole Concord set up was his idea.

Sheens has rebuilt 2 clubs, The Tigers more so than the Cowboys.

Tons of players and coaches have massive wraps on the man.

If he was at a club with better resources than WT - he would be even more of a Legend.

Having said that - The WT DO need a new set of ideas and I am hoping that the Simmons replacement can help here.

But Tim Sheens went from player to coach at age 33, and took that team to their first finals appearance ever, and had their respect completely.

I think after this year, Sheens has earnt the right to have us another year. I think he might be taking this football team somewhere, sure there's been some crappy decisions made (esp. in the fowards) but with Moltzen back next year and blokes like Fifita, Lui, Dwyer and Fulton growing in confidence everyday, I can sense an even better season next year and there may be a stage where selections aren't an issue if we have the depth.

In aid of Anderson, I think Parramatta will keep him and if they don't the Tigers won't make a play for him.

Ok with Sheens staying. Sure his selections are puzzling sometimes but he does show a lot more innovation than most.

Need to hire someone to just select the teams. Sheens can coach etc, just need someone as a professional selector.
