Transparency is overrated. Why do we need to know about this? So we can get online and spray hate towards him? The goal is to achieve a positive result in our favour. That just creates more headlines and would make David feel like crap. Just cause a player does something bad doesn't mean they deserve to have their name and reputation trashed in the media.

We needed experience in our back 5 and he was missing game after game for a bullshit head knock. Whatever you think about him as a player, the guy is one of the best finishers in the NRL.
 
Our club seems to be much harsher on its player indiscretions than most. Our female-beater Fitzgibbon gets sacked, Storm's female-beater Kamakimica misses a few games and is back playing. I most certainly don't want domestic abuse merchants being a part of our club but some other clubs happily turn a blind eye.

Maybe they don't want to have spotlight on it. Maybe Noffa didn't want people to knoe something. Can't be criticizing the club when previously we have had leaks all over the joint.

He's not available, that's all we need to know. Why, that's up to the player and the club's discretion.

Really? So a player isn't selected in any grade and you don't want to know why?

It's nothing to do with leaks either, this should be just communicated to fans.

Ofcourse everyone wants to know, but players and clubs have a right to privacy. Respect it and move on.

My point was mainly about leaks though. Whether it's personal, medical or disciplinary- they've done a good job of keeping it under wraps. Same with the Naden thing, no one knew it was done until the announcement.

The club has been mostly transparent with a lot of things. If they don't want something to be out in public, there may be a reason.

I think we deserve to know if someone is out due to injury, personal reason or disciplinary reason. No need for details but we should know why they aren't playing. We pay the bills.
