David taylor

Honestly don't rate him.

Lazy, plays limited minutes and doesn't often do the hard work.

We need a worker to replace Ellis.

I'd love to have him playing for the Tigers. Souths proabably can't afford him now they have signed Teo.

He stated in NRL on Fix last night that he would be going to the Titans next year and ghat an story to the contrary was rubbish!

That's right, the journo told him what he was going to write and when Taylor told him that wasn't true and he was going to the GC, the journo told him he was writing the story regardless, at least that's Taylor's version and he wasn't worried about what might happen to the Titans financially so looks like he has some assurances perhaps?

Was told Aiden Guerra was also in talks with the Titans as he was keen to move back to QLD & managers of not only him but other players are asking the NRL for assurences that they will be paid if the the tits fold.

Giant South Sydney forward Dave Taylor has been branded a liar after denying reports he is looking to back out of his $1.6m deal with financially-stricken Gold Coast to stay at South Sydney.
>
Speaking on NRL on Fox on Wednesday night, Taylor said a report in Rugby League Week suggesting he wanted out of the Titans deal 'was not true', accusing the magazine of running the story even after he told them there was no substance to it.
>
"Mate, none of that's true," Taylor said.

>
"I got a message the other day from the bloke who wrote it and he said, 'I'm going to write the story'.
>
"I said 'none of it's true' and he goes, 'I'm going to write it anyway'."
>
But senior RLW journalist Tony Adams told Sportal on Thursday that there had been no contact from Taylor.
>
"We sent a text to Dave Taylor asking for his response and never got a reply," Adams explained.
>
"For him to say he called us back, denied the story and we ran with it anyway is just a blatant lie.
>
"Even his manager (Col Davis) has admitted he's contacted the ARLC over the Titans' future so they're obviously concerned about the club's financial plight.
>
"We're pretty disappointed Taylor has come out and said what he did.
>
"It's not the magazine's go to make things up."
>
Souths have all but moved on from Taylor, signing Brisbane's Ben Te'o as his replacement on a three-year deal starting next season.
>
But the Rabbitohs still have room to move under their salary cap for 2013 and could find a way to accommodate Taylor if he was freed from his Gold Coast commitments.
>
The Titans cannot register Taylor's contract until after Round 13, giving the Bunnies time to renegotiate.
>
The wide-running back-rower has been in devastating form this season, winning his first Test jumper and spearheading Souths' rise into the top eight.

Made 30 tackles on the weekend against the Cowboys, his highest tally for the year.

Have Fulton/Ellis ever made anything below 30?!

I would like to see Dave Taylor sign with us but also don't think it will happen.

Not a fan of Taylor, he left Brisbane because he didn't want to play in the middle of the field. For a player his size with his mobility he should be one of the best forwards in the game, he's well behind where he should be.

How the frog would we afford him anyway? Benji, Robbie, Rowdy and Blair probably take up 50% of our cap between them, and the Titans offered him something like 600 grand a year. We have a lot of mouths to feed already.

Also, he's too fat. He needs to shed about 20 kilos before he's fit enough to put the work in.

He'd be great… Sheens could even pick him out of position at half back

No, big Dave considers himself a 5/8 trapped in a forwards body much the same as Todd Payten who felt he was a 1/2 trapped in a forwards body, it could be worse, one of those poor unfortunates down in Oxford St being a woman trapped in a man's body.
