Dear Buckets

Bennett would do something, he'd arsehole anyone who didn't want to do it his way. This is what I am saying, bring in a hard nosed coach who will either command respect, or move on those who don't. Haslers, Bennetts, Maguires and Bellamys win premierships these days, they're all very hard nosed types who expect only the best from their players.

I think Bennett wouldn't take the job after being told that under no circumstances was he to drop Farah due to financial pressures from above… It's easy to say he wouldn't cop it, but if the money was taken away and he wasn't allowed to bring Boyd with him then I dare say it would be no deal. To me Harry is the head of the boys club, and part of the problem.

All the talk is about Cleary and Payten, however I think Madge Maguire might be a dark horse to keep an eye on.

Souths aren't travelling well at the moment, and the camp isn't a happy one.

If they don't have a good season, the speculation will only get stronger that he and the club will agree to go in different directions at season's end.

He's the type of hard nosed coach who I can see getting this club performing at a new level.

Whether or not he will come here is another matter of course.

I think you are all whistling in the wind, because the people you expect to make the necessary changes to fix the Wests Tigers problems are members of the "Boys Club".
My belief is that the new Board to be formed, once Wests Ashfield take over, will demolish the "Boys Club" and add some starch to the operation of the business. Wests Asfield is a long-time successful business, because they do not put up with the crap of Old-Boy groups.

I believe i know why we are playing the way we are. The playing group is split in 3.

1\. Players supporting taylor
2\. Players supporting farah
3\. Players who dont want Farah and Taylor

We are an undivided team, we cant win anything if we dont play as one. Taylor needs to go asap. This HAS to be Farahs last year. Purchase some decent forwards and get a coach who is given FULL AUTHORITY by the board. Its our only hope. If Farah or Taylor are still here next year, then another year down the drain.

I believe you could have hit the nail on the head tigerman80\. I think we are an divided unit, and if this is the case we will not succeed :bash

But Pascoe came in and sorted all the division out, He patted them all on the head and told them to play nicely with each other. Dont tell me it didnt work?

This is basically the same as fairy tales. The issue is that we need to sack the coach, get a couple of forwards and have our halves step up or move them on.

We definity need an authorative figure like Hasler or Macguire. Both coaches have pretty much stagnated at their current club, lets make a big play for one of them. If your a player and off contract, why would you even consider coming to the tigers.

I'm not so sure about Maguire

Many stories going around that the Rabbits overtrain and he has almost burnt his roster out

So i keep reading about this "boys club" but the question i have is can anyone name a club where that isn't the case?

Every club in the NRL is full of ex players in all sorts of positions. Has anyone considered that maybe it is good to have people who are passionate about the club involved?

Why would you want to employ coaches who have become stagnant at their respective clubs….obviously they have run out of class players or coaching ideas...think before you engage in a conversation without substance...if they have lost the dressing room and can't get the best out of their team, how the hell are they going to help a team of immature inexperienced wannabe NRL players who only last night proved that they may be able to play to the NRL standard, don't forget as gutsy as the win was the Rabbits are a complete bascket case like us.....

Macguire has won a premiership, Hasler has made 2 grand finals in the past couple of years. They have been at their clubs for years with proven success. Good players go to clubs with good coaches. So please enlighten us with your wisdom on who you would want as coach?? Maybe youve been watching too much AFL lately buddy and not doing any thinking.

Yep.

JT is attempting to create a history, culture and some pride in the place… Bringing in ex players like Buddha mcguinness, and sugar Caine for visits, talks and training. As well as Skando, Shaun Spence and maybe a few others I've missed. Our history is our history so spare the smart remarks about our past players
