Just wrote this on another thread but I think WT should make it our #1 priority next year to get a new, proven defensive coach. Whatever it takes. Our defence has not improved for years and what we are doing is obviously not working.

It seems the only person that is accountable in the organisation is Farah. Everyone else gets off scot free. Our defence on the edges is pathetic. I reckon my boys Under 10s team could create an overlap against our right hand side lol. Im pretty sure you will find next year we will have a new coach who will hopefully bring a defensive coach with him.

the sooner this guy is gone the better. i cant believe people actually defend this guy. I think we csn all agree farah is no the player he was and nor is he worth the money we have to pay him, but if the club would stupid to sign him up to a 4 year deal instead of 2 years than thats their fault not his. But Taylor gee wiz, we seen his real impact on the team again last weekend. Lovett at centre, please how many times does that need to fail. Rankin at hooker with no back on the bench to fill in. Our right hand side defence has no idea. Players play, coaches coach.

I was reading the NRL Stats and the top two players with missed tackles are Brooks and Moses and with Kevvie in number 12(across NRL), we have three in the top 20\. We are the only team with three in the top 20.

For all of the talk of the JT and Robbie feud regarding cohesion etc you fix that problem and we make the 8.

When you talk about "the club being stupid enough to sign him", you're talking about
the previous administration. Had it been Pascoe and co who signed off on it then tried to renege, you might have a point. But they didn't. They got here after the mess had been created and have attempted to clean up that mess. Any talk of the club backstabbing him went out the window when the ones who signed him walked out the door. The new board and CEO owe him nothing.

Outside of that they are well within in their rights to suggest he move on and hope that a club comes knocking that will pick up a significant portion of what Wests owe. If no clubs are willing, Wests will pay him. It's never been a question that he won't get his money.

Your highest paid player is either going to be paid out in full, playing reserves or playing for another team next year while we subsidise at least $600-$700k of his contract. For all the talk of fixing up our defence, basic things like line speed and tackling technique haven't gotten any better under Taylor's/Kidwell's watch. Watching the Dragons game, the way the boys tackle makes it easy for the opposition to get up and play the ball quickly. Need to start rolling them on their back and getting numbers on top of each other to slow down the play.

To be fair though, our scramble has gotten much better.

I don't think anyone is disagreeing that Robbie is overpaid. The problem is how to handle the situation now.
