Desire & Aggression

Sue already exhibited it. So did Farah, Thompson, and a couple of others to varying degrees.

But I reckon the desire and aggression of Gavet and Taupau have really ignited the spirit in our squad.

This pair have a never-say-die attitude. An extremely strong desire to win. And aggression in both defence and attack.

They are not afraid to talk the talk, then back it up on the field - even against the most experienced and biggest men in the game. This pair let them know in every manner they can, that they are not afraid of a true contest, and they believe they will win it.

And this has rubbed off on the whole team. Woods looks like he his loving his footy, Farah is back to his best.

Our young backs also have the desire. Plus speed, youthfulness and enthusiasm which has put a spring in the step of others that has been lacking for some time.

Self belief is a wonderful thing and it is so good to see it being instilled into our team.

I was a bit sceptical that Potter had made enough changes to the playing roster for our pack - and our team - to be a lot different to last year - but I am so happy to be wrong about it!

I think another thing to point out is with the much bigger forward rotation, both Woods and Galloway are benefiting from it. But agree Taupau and Gavet are the type of players we needed. Cant wait till Siro is back!

I am loving the way Gavet runs at the man… I think he could make plenty more metres if he tried to be cunning with his lines, but when he gets the ball and looks up he spots the hardest man in front of him and lines them up. Doesnt do much for his metres, but is massive for the team taking the steam out of opposition enforcers.

Love it!

Attitude is paramount! And you're right, these guys definitely bring a great attitude to the table and is lifting the whole team spirit. The belief amongst the team is clear and so good to see.
