Does anyone have the email to send enquiries to the refs coaches (harrigan and raper)?

Would like to send an email asking their opinions on why certain incidents were penalized or called up on, yet others were let go!

Please pm me if you can help.
Thanks jsmith

The refs are the last people you should be looking at for this loss… The game should have been 36-0\. Beau knocked the ball on in goal and Reddy was forward by a mile.

I don't think too many people would have that. If they did the inbox would be exploding every Monday morning. I think a lot more will be said about those issues in the first half in the coming days. Both of those cheap shots should have had action taken against them on the field. At least Beau Ryan tried to seek some revenge for his.

Granted we lost that off our own backs but, Lattimore and Merrins' late swinging arms are dangerous to the health of players…slightly more concerning than a forward pass and a knock on IMO....as Rabbits pointed out Head,Neck and Spine...kinda important pieces of physiology don't ya think?

I'm not looking for reasons to blame the refs for the loss. That lays directly at the feet of the players. Dropped balls, forward passes, shambles in attack with zero direction, atrocious defence with missed/ineffective tackles, the list goes on.

I would like though, some sort of explanation as to why Blair gets penalized and on report for head contact on a falling player, yet the 2 dragons players were not even penalized. Why Robbie is put on report for his above horizontal tackle, yet a dragons player drops moltz (I think it was him) on his head, yet no penalty! Why the tigers were constantly called offside, yet not the dragons. Why a knock on was called when I thought heino hit the dragons ball carriers arm? There were more questions, but I will watch again to write down all my concerns.

Again, not trying to displace fault away from the tigers, I just think they got the wrong end of the stick. I could even go back to the last 2 games to ask questions as well.

Unless Mr Smith wants to complain about those isolated incidents, I don't think that's relevant. The refereeing was pretty abhorrent all round, but to say we lost squarely on that is a farce.

We were smashed but the one sided refereeing did not help. We should have had a lot more penalties epecially for the high shots. NRL is decided by referees every week. Extra penalties whould have given us much better field position. We were on the wrong end of about 8-10 dud ref calls this week and whilst that may not seem improtant it is vitally improtant in our game. Referees for mine have the most influence on Rugby league than in any other sport.

Yeah, not sure if you read the above quoted post of Mr Smiths', Bogan. Pretty sure what he is saying is that he is not in fact blaming the refs' for the loss but, in fact would like to address certain "isolated" incidents.

Thank you tuitui. If I get any response I will let you know.

No problems mate, i too am mystified at the refereeing of the game…especially the two head high tackles.
I would also like to re-iterate my opinion that this is not the reason we lost the game.

Tigers played poorly. But the Dragons were given the opportunity to gain good field position because of the poor refereeing. There were about 5 or 6 penalties I think the dragons did not get called. The 2 high shots. The Dangerous tackle on Moltzen. The Ben Creagh pass off the ground. Moving off the mark in the play the ball. Even when the ref said take it back 2 or 3 times they still let it go. Yet the tigers play the ball slightly off centre and get penalised. If the referee coaches are serious about disiplining coaches. All 3 refs should be dropped. It was clearly 1 sided.

I thought there were more refereeing mistakes in that game than I have seen for a long time. It is hard to know what impact it had on our chances, but the way we played I dont think it was decisive. However the last time I saw the count it was 9 to 3 and teams dont win on that sort of penalty count these days. And as to the penalties… well what a joke at least half of them were clearly wrong.

How hard is it to get these jerks to understand the effect on a game that blowing a penalty has these days? Surely you have to be 100% sure of what you are penalising, however even with the benefit of endless television replays so many penalties are shown to be either wrong or very doubtful.

I agree. Not because of the scoreline do i agree, but because of the poor choices the refs took. As has been stated previously, our two tries were questionable as well as many other poor decisions that were made.
If it was only one bad decision that caused the refs from the Sharks game to be benched, what should tonight's refs get?

the tigers were forced to do a heap of tackles in the first 20 minutes on the back of some poor play and some poor calls. It was a hot and sticky night and we burnt up heaps of petrol. Any team with a ton of ball will win easy at this stage of the year
