English Lesson....There, Their and They're

I will probably get absolutely blasted for this, but I have noticed many in the forum can't tell the difference between THEIR, THERE and THEY'RE. I'm not bagging anyone and I wouldn't care, but I find myself reading a post only to be confused by the use and spelling of certain words until I can figure out what the poster is trying to say.

**For those who care:\
\
THEY'RE = Short for THEY ARE
THEIR = Indicates possession eg. "Their tickets have been lost", "My friends have lost their tickets"
THERE = Refers to a place eg. "It must be hard to travel there", "Look over there"\
\
All in one sentence:
"They left THEIR tickets at home so THEY'RE going to have to travel back THERE to get them"**

Like I said, not a big deal. I'm not bagging anyone and I don't care how you spell things, but it makes forum posts easier to read.

Peace…

YES!

Could not agree more with you WT. This annoys the crap outta me!

And your as well … Use you're as an abbreviation for you are! From now on you're all going to get your grammar correct!

What about trial…...sick of reading how crap we went in the trails....this player didn't get a run in the trail....does Sheens have a brain.....what does he think trails are for and so on....

What about "where", "wear" and "we're"?

Stuff like that doesnt bother me but it does get confusing when people get it mixed up.

I remember when I first joined the forum a few years ago, I had only just got the internet and in my first couple of posts I spoke like "dis nd i hav no idea y i spoke lyk dis".

I got absolutely hammered by one of the moderators at the time

Isn't the point of language to communicate and for everyone to understand what the other is saying?

Sooo jst coz i wright-in lyk dis, dosnt meen u dont no wat im on about, yer?

We get it, it's just annoying.

One that I see a lot and is frustrating … "Yeah man, where gonna smash them on the weekend" ... we're*

Some people need a review in how to use apostrophes
