England actually look like progressing. Didn't think Sweden would be out of it after 2 match days. Spain and Germany look the most likely to take it out, France are also a decent chance. Italy and England look alright, but I don't think any will win it (although Rooney will be a massive boost for England), Croatia, Russia and Denmark have also looked strong but I don't think any have the ability to win it. Portugal and Holland are the big flops so far in my opinion, although for Portugal it may just be one prima dona.

Portugal are nothing, even with Ronaldo. The Netherlands have been a real disappointment.

QF results thus far:

Portugal 1 - 0 Czech Republic
Germany 4 - 2 Greece
Spain 2 - 0 France
England & Italy yet to play.

The game to play yet will be a cracker, and I sincerely hope the English flog Italy.

Looks like it's shaping up for the final everyone predicted though. Can't see Portugal beating Germany as Ronaldo always folds under prime teams, and Spain will account for the English or Italians.

spain play portugal in one of the semis and germany play either italy / england in the other semi.

spain are favs but of all the sides left portugals style of play can cause most problems to spain imo. ronaldo and nani are two very quick forwards and portugal play a counter attack style very well.

Ah, my bad. This is the first time I've really paid attention to the Euro's. Learnt a lot about the UEFA system as well about how teams progress through the group stages on head to head rather than goal difference like FIFA do.

from now through to the final each game should be as cb says a 'cracker '. perhaps some of the matches have been down a bit on atmosphere but now its down to the nitty gritty, cant wait

I don't really care who wins England/Italy, I just hope whoever does gets belted by Germany. Spain should easily account for Portugal like they did France. I think it will be a Germany/Spain final which would be an absolute belter, but I think Germany will take it out this time.

Italy Spain final. If the Italians keep diving in the penalty area they should scrape through. That's how they beat many teams including Australia in the World cup.

I think Italy might just nab this one. Fun fact, in the past 3 major tournaments the team that knocks out Germany has gone onto win the whole thing.
