Farah vs the critics

Heading into Game 1 tonight, I am eagerly hoping Farah will silence every critic with a strong performance.

He has been mocked, laughed at, insulted and continually told that he should not be in the side, even though every time he puts on the blue jersey he's one of the better players who actually shows heart.

To watch the Matty Johns show with their smug, bigoted and borderline racist humour, I am only wishing by next Monday night they have pie on their face with Ennis mopping the floor afterward.

Man of the match: Farah with 66 tackles, 2 try assists, a 40/20 and a game winning try.

He's on a hiding to nothing.

If he plays awful, then he proves all the critics right.

If he has a blinder he gets all the Tigers supporters offside and has us all crying, "Where has this been all year?" and cements himself as the new Paul Gallen, or Greg Bird - Only turns up for the State/Country Games.

I remember feeling exactly that last year when Robbie came out and CARVED UP the Warriors in Round 25, after spending the year sulking at the coach.

Indirectly through their 'professor skit' involving Hindmarsh. There is always the underlying tone against Farah in all media facets whether it be Fox panelists, Ch9 commentary or NewsCorp articles. They have a vendetta against him - which is spurred on by public rumours and personal gripes against him.

Despite not being liked by many Farah never shys away on the field.
For most part he is one of the more disliked players yet he has done little wrong to deserve that.
Him and Bird will still play on beaten, bruised up. They put pain away for their Club, State and country.

I hope he puts in a MOTM performance, if he does the same critics tomorrow will try to vote him in as PM of OZ

I second that RM. I hope and expect Robbie to have a blinder. Woodsy too. :supporter:

only hearing a report over the radio Ennis was supposedly said something like that WT had to choose between RF and the two new halves. I put it down to Ennis trying to niggle Farah off his game tonight. I don't know how responsible Ennis was for last year's big SOO loss?

I can never get past the first 10 mins of that show.

Might cancel my Foxtel too, really nothing to watch on that thing…

Only reason why i have Fox is to watch our beloved Tigers
As soon as the game is over the TV goes off, i dont have time or patience for their other garbage
Especially Matty Johns and his crew of fools that laugh at stuff thats not funny

It's a segment dedicated to pretty much paying out on players. Robbie isn't the only player that has copped a bit of stick and i doubt anyone would be too upset when they do.

I think the reason he cops it a bit in the media is he doesn't have what you would call a likable persona. It's all about perception and how you come across with media and Robbie has built his own reputation over the years with his actions.

Why would anyone with intelligence watch that show in the first place.

I'm hoping Farah has a blinder as well - the next time he plays for us.

Farah will go well he has only played one poor game at this level. When they walk off tonight he'll be one of the few with heads held high.

Some players are built for the big stage, enter Robbie Farah.

Hope he has a blinder and in the process tires himself out so we need to give him a rest.

Robbie will probably shoot bolts of lightning from his buttocks and fireballs from his eyes but it won't help and you blokes all know it

Im no longer a huge Robbie Farah fan, but i do hope he smashes them tonight.

Other players and media etc not liking him? Shock horror. Hello!! He is not generally popular with many people at all and thats half the reason the coach wants him moved on too.

I saw the show…dont remember seeing anything borderline racist. Saw them dumping on him....and 100 other players too.

dont know about last year, but hes had a couple of shockers in his previous couple.

I expect him to have his typical high quality game as he does for his club basically every week. I expect Woods to do the same.

I'll be stoked if they both have great games.
