Farah

rubbish .. he tried his guts out all night as did the other 16 heros … 10 extra sets in defence cost us along with countless bad calls .. we get 50/50 calls tonight we blow them off the park .....

Thought there wasnt going to be any rubbishing of players tonight they all tried their hearts out and its easy for all of us to say things but we rnt there in the heat of the battle. So proud of all them.

Robbie is a deadset legend, and I wouldnt swap him for any other Hooker in the comp, but I dont think he has been at his best for most of the season. It seemed to coincide with his non selection in the SOO team. For our captain, play maker and senior player, he takes a lot of poor options. When Benji stepped up we needed Robbie to as well but i feel he just came up a bit short. Hopefully he gets named in the 4 nations and that is the confidence boost he needs

Someone had to say it. He is inconsistent and hogs it at the wrong times.

He needs to realise he is not always the best option. I think we win tonight if at some critical times he passes the ball and lets Benji or Lui make the key play.

TT

Dont disagree about the 50-50 comment and that he tried his guts out.

However, I stand by my view that Farah's short kicking game cost us dearly at critical times.

I tend to agree on this one. He tried to force the play too much tonight.

I dont like to criticise him because he is the heart and soul of this club but that is how i saw it.

And before people put words in my mouth - I wouldnt trade Robbie for anyone.

Off topic - Does anyone know what Dean Young said to him? It obviously got under his skin at the time. Was kind of hoping he would square up at the next scrum, but at the same time hoping he wouldn't as knew hayne would go out of his way to unfairly punish us no matter who started it.

On topic- I don't think he played his best game but I think he still tried his guts out and was solid. I think part of the problem may be that he carried this team for so long, when Benji was injured/out of form, that he sometimes takes on too much responsibility. I wouldn't swap him for anyone however, the guy is brilliant at hooker, and if only the ref's would finally start giving him some penalties for his dummy half runs that always catch the markers off side.

mate we got beat 13 - 12..farah should have got 4 penalties at least from dummy half .. we wernt given any momentum whatsoever…..people forget farah is a great number 9 .. he isnt a 7 in any way , but he has to play at first reciever because we play lui out in the centres at times .....
its more a fairy tale if bennet wins a comp ... or the roosters win it from the wooden spoon ......

Young made a racist remark directed at Farah. He told the ref and you can hear the ref say "did you want to make a formal complaint?". Farah obviously said no and play continued.

Just watching the replay, not much of a lip reader, but it looked like he called him a "fornicating ethnic", looks like young has caught the grub bug, from costigan, smith and scott

Illek,

I agree he doesnt earn enough penalties. He hasnt for about 5 years.

TT,

All you points are valid. However, Robbie put in four poor kicks tonight. The dragons scored a try in the next set of six after one of them.

It was very noticeable that we didnt get a repeat set tonight and I think Rob is partly to blame for that.

But nobody should criticise his effort. He saved a deadset try with a great tackle.

Options and execution were not his best tonight.

Ah if only robbie had dished out what he did to watts, would have been worth it.

Mate he was playing busted for most of the second half. He showed plenty of ticker to stay on the field. The whole 17 were great. With a ounce of luck and the odd 50/50 call go our way and we would have been in the GF. Cant wait for 2011

Fair call supercoach.

I didnt intend this thread to be too critical of Rob. Given the effort and how close we came that wouldnt be right.

Thought Robbie had a great game, only one mistake and that was one of his kicks, otherwise a great captain’s game.

I was expecting the next scrum after that incident for robbie to give a big uppercut to son of big fat sargent craig young and wouldnt have given a shyte if they got the penalty because obvisouly he said something because rabs picked it up

In big games u need your stars to guide you home, Robbie's kicking game was horrendous,he is a super player. Just a shame it happened tonight.
