Ok hypothetical. Love or hate ( I love ) Robbie as our captain and best ever player. For all the supporters who are calling for him to be sacked, resign or what ever . Can any one of you say that he has ever not tried, not done his best or done wrong by this club. My answer in NO. But back to my question , in 5 years time if Robbie wanted to coach the team he loves would you be against him then? Prob not because you would all know he would do what is best for the WESTS TIGERS the team that he shows week in and out he loves and so do we…not sure what's going on with Potts and Robbie but I am damn sure Robbie is/will do what is best for our club

Mick Potter may have his flaws but he is a lot better than a 16 and pregnant has been with a laughable porn career. I say no.

:roll

He's been trying to coach the team for the past 3 years atleast how has that gone for us? That's right not one finals appearance. If we're going off coaching performance he would be sacked all ready. What type of coach has a hissy fit when his team is called soft when he knew full well all along they were soft.

Robbie has a Business of economics university degree and i think that's where his future lies. I would like to see him working behind the scenes with the NRL. Imo i don't think coaching full time would interest him after what his seen and been through so far at our club. I would really love Robbie to stay on with the club after retirement and nurture our young hookers coming through the grades.

I reckon we are more likely to see him as CEO than coach.

I would not go down that track personally, but I see that as something he would want, and sport like no other employ people with the inappropriate experience for managerial roles.

Robbie is an exceptional captain/leader until something like the current situation arises and his emotions get the better of him. With that in mind i don't think a coaching position is the best thing for him otherwise we could see a reincarnate of his good mate Ricky Stuart (God forbid). He does however have a good mind for business, the required qualifications and great footy sense which would hopefully allow him to become our CEO one day (ala matt gidley at Newcastle)

You mean, when the going gets tough?
Thats when REAL leaders come to the fore, thrive and excel.

No. I mean when he lets anger and frustration get the better of him. Can you imagine giving your heart and soul to an organisation and then being left out to dry without that same organisation having your back.. he wears his heart on his sleeve and that consequently hinders his captaining ability whilst during other situations makes him an awesome leader (on the field). It's funny how one situation can change one's perception of an entire individual. The same people praising our captain and leader in other more positive threads earlier in the season whilst crucifying him in more recent ones. Soft.
