Fast Play the Balls

Was it just me or did we seem to get a lot more fast play the balls throughout that game?
To me it looked like Ivan may be putting some emphasis on the fast play the balls. If so, it certainly worked a treat today. Something we haven't been much good at in the past.

I have been noticing it for a few games. Fits in nicely with getting a roll up the center. Since Taylor left there has been a heck of a lot less finessing, and more simple going forward to try and get the defense unbalanced.

They were certainly moving up the middle a lot better today than they have in the past. These subtle changes seem to be making good progress.

Yup - They first started it against Melbourne. Caught Melbourne out nicely till they adapted. Adequate coaches come up with a game plan and try to shoehorn a team into it. A good coach adapts to the strengths of their squad.

Definitely - we got bogged down for a bit in that second half for whatever reason, which really accentuated how quickly we'd been rolling down the field previously.

Yeah, against a pack that is known to be dominant we made more metres with fewer runs.

Wests Tigers: 169 runs, 1698 metres, average 10.05 metres per run
Bulldogs: 175 runs, 1567 metres, average 8.95 metres per run

I imagine this has a lot due to quick play the balls.
