First win in 2023?

One thing I have found very disappointing so far with Sheens, Api and co has been the whole "it's only week one / it's only early" attitude...even the whole "we have him 4 years, I don't care if he misses four rounds" stuff with Bateman.

It just screamed out about being too casual.

A really strong club looks at the draw and marks down stretches and has goals. For us, the first three weeks is THE softest stretch of our season...the first two weeks our easiest games. It should have been a massive priority to be at a min 2 from 3. Like the Storm do...set everything up for a fast start.

Instead...we are 0 and 2 in very winnable games. A great chance to start 2-0 and build some momentum / ease some pressure...

Now...down 0-2...where is win number one coming from?

Dogs at Belmore?
Then:
Storm A
Broncs A
Parra H (But effectively a neutral ground)
Manly
Panthers
Dragons

Serious question...where is the first win in amongst that? I think Dogs game is 50/50...but at Belmore will be tough.

After that almost certain defeats for a month.

Saints the first win? We would be 0-8 meeting them if that is to be the first win. Surely not?

dogs maybe or saints that's it

It boggles my mind, WTF do they do all week. Don't they train. Douhi has been here for 3 years, at what point in all the weeks of training these guys do does it click in his head how to defend. Or Brooks how to select the right guy to pass to. I'm convinced this team arrives to games in the variety bus.

Anyone see Bellamy completely lose his sh@# at an under strength Melbourne,?? This club would have them all sulking in the corner.
We play soft and every club in the comp have got us pegged as a win. Maguire tried to instill some ticker but he was thwarted by a player mentality that have no clue what it takes to win.

If Bellamy had of accepted the coaching role here way back when…he’d be dead now.

We ain’t beating Dogs at Belmore. Their tales are up, it’s their first home game…they’ll smash us.
I can’t see a win until Magic Round in Rd 10.

We won't beat the dogs. We can barely score a try.

not surprised, when do we EVER beat the titans or knights or warriors going in as favourites? It's been happening for a decade. I do think it's not as bad as people make it out, if we manage to score atleast half (heck even a third) of the times we make it to their red zone, we win both games. Our biggest issue in recent years being winning the battle for field position doesnt seem so bad now, but there is no clue once we get to the opp end.
