Did anyone expect Penrith (3rd), Parra (4th) and tigers would be holding top eight positions at the start of the year

I think these teams are flying under a few radars

They're all going well, especially us in spite of our injuries. This time last year we'd have been lucky to secure a win or two. Good to see all four Western Sydney sides amongst it.

Having said that, we need to see a little bit further into the year before counting our chickens. The period after origin will sort out the contenders from the imposters.

Penrith doesn't surprise me one bit. They were always going to have a massive yr imo.

I had high hopes for the Panthers, Ivan Cleary is the most underrated coach in the game by a considerable distance. I wasn't sure if they'd be a top 4 side (I think they're a big gun short of that) but they still have a strong team.

Parramatta have surprised me though as have our boys.
